Most of the sports world already knows how MLB player Mark Buehrle feels about Michael Vick. If you didn’t hear Buehrle’s comment, it was something along the lines of Vick being the football that gets thrown at the next Eagles game.

During an interview with ESPN, Mike Tyson gave his thoughts on how Vick should be treated.

“Listen, listen. I don’t know why people do what they do. What should we do with Michael Vick?  Really, really: Why don’t we castrate him? Why don’t we do something bad to his children to teach him a lesson? Is that really the answer?”

“The first thing I ever loved in my life was a pigeon. I don’t know why…I feel ridiculous trying to explain it. Pigeons are a part of my life. It’s a constant with my sanity in a weird way; this is just what I do. If I’m lucky enough to die an old man, I’m going to have birds.”

Mike Tyson, who’s starring in an Animal Planet series about pigeon racing, “Taking On Tyson,” which premieres March 6th. Some animal rights activists have criticized pigeon racing, as it requires birds to be given antibiotics for illnesses and race in adverse weather.

How do you feel about this? Should Mike Tyson show the birds love by instead donating to a bird charity or opening up a sanctuary?

Mike Tyson has announced he’s interested in starting a brand of kosher foods.

According to the New York Post, Tyson has been in talks with Moshe Malamud of the Franklin Mint about his business plans. The two met at Malamud’s favorite kosher eatery, Solo, on New York’s Madison Avenue, while Tyson dined on mushroom soup and mixed vegetables. A representative for Solo said the two discussed the concept and a potential name, but nothing is finalized.

Tyson has been making headlines in the news for his switch to a completely vegan diet. Is it possible for him to combine his two interests in one eatery? Of course! At chabad.org, Rabbi Eliezer Posner writes, “A vegan restaurant would not have a hard time getting kosher certification…It is certainly much easier for a vegan eatery to receive and maintain kosher certification. If your neighborhood has a kosher consumer base, perhaps ask the restaurant management to consider this not-so-difficult option which could increase its clientele.”

Mike Tyson shared some funny and painful truths about being over a hundred pounds overweight with ESPN. Like how hard it was to take care of toilet duties and the fact that his butt disappeared.

“It was hard to wipe my butt…Oh man the back fat. The back fat is when it’s so bad, your ass looks like a board. It’s like boom. The back and ass is one.”

It also sounds as if Tyson attributes his major weight loss to his vegan diet, which he began last year.
