Ashley Greene

There will never be an end to the discussion as to why vegan Ellen DeGeneres chose to represent Cover Girl, a cosmetics company that still tests on animals. But now there’s another famous face setting an example by fronting a beauty campaign for a brand that’s well established and cruelty-free.

Ashley Greene has signed on to be the face of Avon. Her new gig doesn’t involve resisting cravings of human or animal blood because Avon was the first major cosmetics company to end animal testing on both on its finished product and ingredients in 1989. For this, PETA gives Greene a vegan cookie.

Broadway Opening Of RED - Arrivals And Curtain Call

Alicia Silverstone may be a vegan, but she may add some butter to her life soon.

The actress is rumored to be cast in the film starring Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell featuring a butter carving champion in a small town.

According to Access Hollywood, Production Weekly says Silverstone is currently in negotiation for the comedy that has already cast Jennifer Garner and Ashley Greene.

If Silverstone were competing in a butter carving contest herself, she’d pick her favorite vegan butter, Earth Balance, as she’s blogged about it on her website, The Kind Life.

Available in tubs and traditional butter sticks, Earth Balance comes in several varieties that include soy, no soy, canola oil or without, and contain all the buttery flavor minus the cholesterol and dairy farms.

Styna Whatman

The Twilight vegetarian vampires of Forks, Washington are like the vegetarian humans who still eat chicken and fish.

NOT vegetarian.

They don’t eat humans, but instead feast on the blood of animals.

A lady named Styna Whatman very closely resembles Ashley Greene and her character from Twilight, Alice Cullen.

So much she cut her hair, moved to Forks, Washington and worked as “Alice Cullen” in a flower and gift shop named Leppell’s.

What’s cool?

Styna is a real vegetarian vampire.

In an email sent to the Veg Star, Styna writes, “I’m vegan and strongly support animal rights.”

“Since Twilight reaches such a large audience, it’d be a great way to send the cruelty-free message to them!”

Styna is featured in an MTV documentary about the town of Forks, Washington, Twilight In Forks: The Saga of the Real Town by York Baur and Jason Brown, due for release on October 15.

Watch the clip below for a preview and to hear Styna describe reactions in Forks when the real vegetarian vampire paid the city a visit!
