Alicia Silverstone Loves Earth Balance Vegan Butter

For those that choose the vegan path or with intolerance/sensitivity to dairy products, Alicia Silverstone recommends a cow-free butter on her Kind Life website to substitute on baked potatoes, cookies and more.
“Whenever I find a recipe that calls for a butter substitute, I always use Earth Balance! I’ve experimented with a lot of brands, and this one is my hands-down favorite! You can get it in tubs or sticks… just like real butter. It’s so versatile and you can get it at most supermarkets and health food stores.”

Besides tubs, Earth Balance vegan butters come in sticks as well and feature several blended varieties such as those with or without soy and olive oil.

Earth balance is fantastic. I found it after trying a bunch of different kinds of nondairy butter-ish stuff, and it’s far and away my favorite. Its taste is a bit less strong than real butter, but it still works great for most recipes.
