Art Smith is one of the brains behind LYFE kitchen, a restaurant in the LA area serving healthier convenience food.

Although LYFE is not a vegetarian restaurant, it does offer plant-based options for those customers. In addition, it serves more sustainable meat products.

Smith spoke with the LAist on his decision to remove some meat from his menu at home.

GQ Names Vegan Vedge Restaurant As Top 13 Of 2013

GQ magazine has named Philadelphia’s vegan restaurant Vedge as one of the top 13 restaurants of 2013.

Complete with a dinner, dessert, cocktail and beer and wine menu, Vedge was the only plant-based restaurant to make it to writer Alan Richman’s list.

His experience may bring more veggie company to Vedge on next year’s list of favorite restaurants.

“I had no idea so much flavor could be delivered without butter, cream, milk, eggs, and other kitchen staples,” Richman wrote.

Meatless Mouthful–Amanda Cohen On The Vegetable Myth

Chrissie Hynde stepped into international veggie burger paradise when she made a stop at Singapore’s VeganBurg. The all-vegan restaurant recently celebrated it’s 4th outlet in the South-East Asian city-state.

After her Singapore Grand Prix performance, Chrissie fuel up on the Cracked Pepper Mayo burger.

“I’ve toured around the world with my band and always looking for the perfect burger. I finally found it at VeganBurg!” Chrissie said.
