Some people are either really turned on by vegetables or have really dirty minds. We don’t want to know the details of their sex lives.

Organic Authority has compiled some photos of veggies caught in very compromising positions, from the “Wee Weanie Carrot” to this one titled, “You say potato, we say good golly…”

Are treehuggers out to save the Earth to help everyone who inhabits it? Or will they take everything for themselves and tie-dye it?

Stephen Colbert pokes fun of environmentalists in this clip from his segment of On Topic: The Environment–Wimpy Treehuggers and Dirty Hippies from The Colbert Report.

He makes hypocrites out of a group of people rebuilding Noah’s ark to raise awareness about global warming, saying, “For a bunch of environmentalists, they’re sure cutting down a lot of trees.”

Freegans–those who eat leftover from the garbage–are not spared as well as the organic food industry.

“I’ve always been against organic foods. If I wanted to ingest something a hippie picked, I would eat an autoharp.”

If cats had spilled the oil in the Gulf Coast, is this how the conversation would have went down in the office?

Stephen Colbert made a segment on a recent episode of The Colbert Report highlighting bull fighting and the accident involving well known bull fighter Julio Aparicio being critically injured when the bull thrust his horn through Aparicio’s neck, which then poked through the matador’s mouth.

“A word of warning to my sensitive viewers. I’m about to show you a bull fight so gory that a bull’s horn comes out of his mouth,” Colbert says. “If you have young children…bring them into the room. Unless you want them to be bull fighters.”

Colbert does offer condolences and hopes Aparicio gets well and that he owns a “lot of turtle necks.”

Local politicians in the Catalonia region of Spain are set to vote on a proposal that would ban the bloody and cruel sport.

“The Onion” Mocks Circus Treatment Of Elephants

The Onion

The Onion

Satirical news source The Onion, has written a hilarious piece on how elephants awe crowds at the circus, inserting random snide remarks about the circus’ treatment of the giant creatures and the resulting physical and psychological stress the animals endure.

Quotes from families that attended are recorded, such as the one from 5-year old Jonah Meeks, who, after “mistaking the elephants’ constant swaying for something that wasn’t a maladaptive behavior caused by serious psychological trauma,” said “I can dance like an elephant, too. Look at me!”

You’ve heard of the hit Lady Gaga song “Bad Romance,” but have you ever been in a “Cat Romance” starring Lady Meow Meow?

This video with the San Francisco SPCA has Lady Meow Meow asking, “Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow. Want a cat romance?” and urging animal lovers to go adopt a cat.

The San Francisco SPCA not only takes in homeless cats and dogs, but educates the public about issues such as neutering and spaying to reduce the number of these animals.

Take a look at the adoption promo and compare it with Gaga’s below, which also features a cat around minute 2:38 and some creepy,  hopefully fake bear skin being dragged across the floor at minute 3:40.

RANT 071: Control Freak Vegetarian Bitch

Project Rant | MySpace Video

Project Rant features actors reenacting complaints from the anonymous “rants and raves” placed on Craig’s List.

Control Freak Vegetarian Bitch was posted by someone who didn’t like his or her dinner date asking the manager if the bun for the veggie burger had dairy in it.

Or if the beans could be ordered without butter.

Or if the portobello mushroom cap was grilled on the same grill with meat.

“You make it impossible for me to enjoy myself at a restaurant. I know why you do this. You want to have some small bit of power so you can wield it like some sort of fu*king flag. I think this is the real reason why you are a vegetarian. You like bullying the wait staff into listing the ingredients of every item and how each one is prepared.”

“It’s so embarrassing to go out to eat with you because I know you’ll pull this sh*t.”

Well, well.

It’s so obvious this was written after a fight or breakup with the vegetarian significant other.

There’s more and it just gets nastier in the above video.
