Rihanna Album Photo Shoot Berlin: Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, October 16th, 2009 in Female Singers, Fur, Fur Real Or Fur Fake.

**RESTRICTIONS APPLY** Rihanna keeps her head down and her shades on as she has dinner in New York City

Rihanna was recently in Berlin for a photo shoot for the cover of her next album.

Rihanna wore a thick, white fur coat as you can see in pictures from the shoot, done by Ellen Von Unwerth.

While The Sun is reporting the coat was faux fur, The Daily Mail isn’t specifying.

Rihanna’s been known to walk around in mammal looking wear before, like in the pic above, but is she cruel enough to leave real animals out of her Umbrella of love?

Take a look at the photos and judge for yourself.

Will Rihanna’s new album have her faking it?

Fearne Cotton wraps warm up in a leopard print coat as she arrives at the Radio One studios in London

Fearne Cotton walked into the Radio One Studios recently wearing this leopard print coat.

Sure, it’s probably cold in London, but we seriously doubt vegetarian Fearne is wearing real fur.

Or is she?

She admitted to indulging in Mulberry handbags that come in all sorts of leather varieties.

What do you think?

Is Fearne fur real or fur fake?

Helen Flanagan “Coronation Street” Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 in Actresses, Fur, Fur Real Or Fur Fake.

Coronation Street stars at Granada Studios in Manchester

Helen Flanagan was seen walking around Granada Studios in Manchester recently.

Helen plays Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, the longest running and most watched soap opera on British television.

If you’ve ever watched soap operas, you might get a laugh here and there, because, although entertaining, let’s face it-some of that acting is incredibly fake (not to mention you could have children and grandchildren before one storyline is complete).

Which is why we hope Helen was faking when she wore this furry jacket.

Animals have “One Life To Live” and they really should live it out to the fullest and not be skinned and killed prematurely for a coat.

Take a look and tell us what you think.

Elle Macpherson School Run: Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, October 5th, 2009 in Fur, Models.

Elle Macpherson does the school run wearing her sunglasses in the rain - London

Model Elle MacPherson was snapped coming from a school, more than likely after dropping her children off for the day.

Elle’s fashion sense consisted of sunglasses and this jacket with furry sleeves and collar.

Not all supermodels are vain, but we sure hope Elle’s a fake and she’s not wearing real fur.

Elle was criticized in the past for signing a deal with Blackglama, and was reportedly terrified of anti-fur activist so much she wanted Blackglama to cancel the shoot and not publicize the photographs.

Want do you think?

Is Elle fur real? Or is she faking it?

Rachel Zoe Faux Fur Vest

Rachel Zoe Faux Fur Vest

Although her assistant still thinks vegan shoes are made from mashed potatoes and cauliflower, Rachel Zoe at least knows fur vests should be made from synthetic material and not animal hide.

That’s why she’s designed these especially made for QVC faux fur vests.

These debuted at New York Fashion Week last month, and sell for under $130, featuring a wing collar and six hidden hook and eye closures.

You can view Rachel’s other faux fur designs at QVC.com.

Be sure to catch Rachel on QVC on Saturday, October 10 at 1PM ET for the Accessorizing With Rachel Zoe segment.

Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams was seen on the set of the ABC television series sporting this jacket with fur trim.

We hope Vanessa doesn’t take after her co-star Becki Newton, who adored her leather with fur trim vintage jacket.

Mode Magazine is all about trends, but fashion guru Wilhelmina Slater should know real fur is so many seasons ago.

Brigitte Bardot Asked Sophia Loren For Fur Free Birthday

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 in Actresses, Fur.

Bridgitte Bardot Travels to Romania to Save Street Dogs

Two sex symbols of the 60s, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren, turned 75 this month.

Bardot, a vegetarian and animal rights activist, wished Sophia a happy three quarters of a century, asking Sophia to give her the best birthday present ever.

“I wish a happy birthday to Sophia Loren, my splendid twin, and I ask her to stop wearing fur — that is the best gift she could offer me,” Bardot said.

Bardot was less harsh with her words than she was in the 90s when she said, “Wearing a fur is wearing a cemetery on your back,” after Loren posed in fur for an Italian designer.

Hey, it’s her birthday month. Everyone’s a little nicer around that time.

Pink Gives Verbal Fist Bump To Michelle Obama Fur Free Closet

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 in Female Singers, Fur.

Brisbane Entertainment Centre Presents Pink With Her Own Toilet

Pink got political during her sold out show at the Patriot Center in the D.C. area recently and gave a shout out to First Lady Michelle Obama.

“Let’s get political for a second,” Pink said. “Since we’re near D.C., I have to give a shout-out to Michelle Obama, who has announced that she is officially fur-free. I love an animal-lovin’ first lady!”

Pink then began singing her Dear Mr. President song, which describes her questions about politics.

Better to be on Pink’s good side when it comes to animal hides because if you remember correctly, she had a few different choice of words when describing Kanye West and fur.
