Christie Brinkley Poses With Giant Fish And Son In The Hamptons

Christie Brinkley posed with the “Catch of the Day” during a fishing trip in the Hamptons with daughter Alexa Ray Joel and son Jack Brinkley-Cook. Although we’d like to think the catch is her sexy offspring, unfortunately, it’s the gigantic fish he’s holding.

It’s probably safe to say the longtime vegetarian didn’t eat any of the catch, but posing with flipper isn’t the best promo for the plant-based diet either.

Sunny Obama Bo Obama

The Obama family has one new member.

Sunny, a Portuguese Water dog, was born a little over a year ago and arrived at the White House today.

She’ll be keeping the family and staffers company while providing the older dog Bo–who’s also the same breed–a playmate.

Michelle Obama posted one of the first photos of Sunny on Twitter with the message:

“So excited to introduce the newest member of the Obama family — our puppy, Sunny!”

She was outspoken on Ireland’s decision to resume the export of live animals after a 17 year hiatus, joining 10,000 people in the appeal.

He’s not into using a leash.

Max-Arthur Cat Celebrates Discovery Channel “Shark Week” (Video)

This week The Discovery Channel is once again holding its annual Shark Week. It’s a great time to watch specials about the great creatures and take time to learn facts about their habitats, present threats and just be entertained.

One cat decided to celebrate Shark Week by dressing for the part and hopping a ride on a iRobot Rooma to give that oh-so-spooky shark is coming to get you look.

All that’s missing is the Jaws theme song.

Darnell Dockett Of Arizona Cardinals Pet Tiger Makes PETA Hiss

Darnell Dockett thinks the Arizona Cardinals might need a new mascot.

The football player has recently set off some controvery after a series of Tweets with photos of his new pet tiger.

Dockett posted photos of him with both the baby tiger and the mother, which can be seen above.

Although Dockett has described his new pet ownership as the “coolest thing ever,” it’s easy to see how PETA might think differently.

Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus, actor from films like The Walking Dead and The Boondock Saints has joined with Cruelty-Free International in the fight against animal tested cosmetics.

Both Reedus and the organization would like to ban animal testing on beauty products in the United States and the rest of the world.

“Scores of countries around the world are beating the U.S. to become cruelty-free by banning cosmetics tests on animals,” Reedus said. “Nobody wants rabbits or guinea-pigs to suffer for our vanity, least of all the animals. Let’s stop their suffering right here, right now. Join me in supporting the Cruelty Free International call to Congress and the FDA to bring an end to animal testing for cosmetics in the U.S.”

Keep Company specializes in vegan footwear, and both Vernon and the retailer are supporters of Best Friends, one of the United State’s largest sanctuary for rescued, neglected and abused animals.

A parent to two rescue cats himself, Vernon let a few four-legged actors have a spot in the advertisements.
