Everyone’s favorite vegan girl, Alicia Silverstone, recently sat down with Health magazine where she discussed her upcoming vegan diet book, A Kind Diet, as well as her vegan lifestyle in general.

Here are a few excerpts:

On The Kind Diet Book:
“I’m excited about presenting something that can make you feel amazing and look your best. Once you’re informed, then you can be really gentle and kind to yourself, by giving yourself all the gifts life has to offer—like mental clarity and vitality—all while making the planet better”

The Role A Vegan Diet Played in her weightloss:
“Diet first, exercise second. Exercise is fantastic, and when I need to be a certain way quickly, I amp up my exercise by walking the dogs and doing yoga.”

How The Right Foods Make You “Juicy”:
You can hear your needs and desires more clearly. You’re just more juicy—there’s just this lightness that happens.

Geneva Cruz Shows All Her Animal Parts For Vegetarianism

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 in Actresses, Female Singers.

Maxim cover girl hottie Geneva Cruz has stripped down to her bones.

But she still has all her meat and her “parts” are labeled for the discerning viewer to decide which piece they’d like of her-breasts, shoulder, loin, etc.

It’s all meant to mimic a butcher’s diagram of animal parts in an upcoming PETA vegetarian ad, “All Animals Have The Same Parts.”

“I’d just like to say that I’m not doing this for vanity,” Geneva told abs-cbnnews.com. “I don’t do this to look sexy, although you can look sexy. The good thing about what I’m doing now is I think that a lot of people are getting really influenced, and they just want to know how to start [becoming vegetarian]. I always tell them to go to PETA.org and check it out. You can start little by little.”

Wow.

Even if you’re a vegetarian, you must admit, Geneva looks delicious!

TIFF 2007 - In The Valley Of Elah North American Premiere

Rachael Leigh Cook, actress best known for her role in the romantic comedy She’s All That and the “Your Brain on Drugs” anti-drug PSA,  recently sat down with Coco Eco magazine where she revealed she’s been going veg strong for well over a decade!

“Let’s see….it’ll be almost sixteen years. I’ll be thirty in October and I guess I was 14,15 when I started that. I was thrilled to find out that being a vegetarian was such a good, green thing to do. I heard people who were regular meat eaters produce a ton of carbon emissions a year. And that really blew my mind. Being vegetarian is not for everybody. I’m not a pusher of it. I do partake in some leather goods but I don’t feel too horrible about it because the animal probably got eaten.”

Coco Eco is like, totally eco, because they’ve got their magazine online!

Check it out and be sure to take a look at Rachael’s feature.
