A new site has been launched that allows buyers of vegan, leather-free, eco-friendly and other ethical fashion to search for items of their choice.

Style-is.co.uk allows the shopper to search and view a product before being taken to a recommended online retailer that sells the exact product.

Founded by fashion blogger and marketing consultant Ceri Heathcote said she wanted to make sustainable designs more accesible.

Stella McCartney‘s first collection of optical eyewear will be released in the Spring of 2013.

The line features both light and spotted versions of its classic shade in addition to five alternative styles in burgundy, taupe, black, teal and tortoise.

A vegetarian who uses no fur or leather in her products, Stella has taken environmental consciousness a step further with this line and made them from eco-friendly materials.

Lea Michele gave US Weekly a glimpse into her vacation with boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The two resided at the Big Island’s Mauna Lani Bay Hotel in Hawaii and spent their time kayaking and swimming.

Given their adventure involved so much outdoor exercise, it’s no surprise the vegetarian actress had no restraints on eating, as US Weekly reported she ate “whatever” during the trip.

Martha Stewart visited Today to demonstrate a few recipes from her latest cookbook.

Meatless: More Than 200 of the Very Best Vegetarian Recipes is Stewart’s completely vegetarian cookbook.

Stewart briefly mentioned the benefits of a vegetarian diet, including lower risks for several health problems.

She then proceed to prepare Grilled Asparagus and Ricotta Pizza, Linguine with Toasted Almonds, Parsely and Lemon and Avocado, Beet and Orange Salad.

“We do Meatless Monday at my house. We’ve done it for about a year and a half. Going meatless isn’t necessarily so much of a political statement, it’s about changing your diet and finding interesting ways to eat different things. On Sundays I start thinking about what I’m going to make because I want to make sure the kids are satisfied and interested and part of the game.”

The actor, vegetarian, environmentalist and animal advocate said of his cause:

“It’s always difficult for people to deal with images of animal cruelty head-on; no one wants to look at what really goes into the making of fur. This video is so impactful because it lets you know without having to see.”

“I really hope it makes fashion designers and consumers think twice about using and wearing animal fur, when so many great alternatives are available and just as stylish.”
