Kate Hudson Goldie Hawn Aspen Colorado–Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 in Actresses, Fur, Fur Real Or Fur Fake.

Kate Hudson Spends Time With Mom Goldie!

Kate Hudson recently spent the day with dear ol’ mom Goldie Hawn in Aspen, Colorado.

Is this like mother, like daughter, keeping fur in the family?

Goldie looks pretty fake, but Hudson…not so sure.

You would think that after spending the evening at compassionate vegetarian designer Stella McCartney‘s store for New York’s Fashion Night Out, Hudson would have learned a thing or two.

If Kate’s fur coat is real, she’d be locked out from Night Out if Stella had anything to do with it.

What do you think?

Is Kate fur real?

Or is she faking it?

(And will A-Rod ever come back to her?)

Stella McCartney Switches On Store Christmas Lights

Some things just sound too good to be true.

Like the rumor that Stella McCartney and Morrissey, two longtime vegetarians, are teaming up to design a leather-free shoe.

Negative.

Says official Stella McCartney Fan Page on Facebook:

“Stella is a fan of Morrissey but those rumors of a collaboration for a shoe line are simply not true.”

There’s really no other way to put it but as another fan did:

“bummer XX”

Con-Sole (pun intended) yourselves by buying a pair of leather free shoes from Vegetarian Shoes or Veganchic.com.

The gossip sites must have a shoe fetish this month.

Not long ago, a rumor was going around the web that Stella McCartney and Leona Lewis were collaborating to create a vegan shoe line.

The story smelled worse than sweaty feet and proved to be false.

Now, the word is that Morrissey and Stella are collaborating to create a leather free shoe.

“I’m working with Morrissey on a line of leather-free shoes which I’m really excited about,” McCartney told Mail Online. “We are still in the early stages, but the shoes could be launched next year.”

One would think if Morrissey were involved in this project, Stella would be designing men’s shoes, which would make vegan men around the world rejoice.

But judging from the track record of previous shoe stories from the tabloids…

We’ll believe it when we see it.

In the meantime, check out some athletic, casual and formal male vegan shoes available at alternativeoutfitters.com.

Stella McCartney Leona Lewis—Who Would You [Veg Fashion Edition]

We love rumors. Even if they’re not true. Stella McCartney and Leona Lewis were rumored to be getting it on for a cruelty-free fashion line. Too bad Stella says she knew nothing about this.

No biggie, as Leona’s coming out with her own line and shoes and handbags soon and Stella’s even giving children’s clothing a second try.

Between the two vegetarians, one present and one future fashion designer, who would you rather…

Ah, gossip.

No one ever said all of it was true.

As we speculated, Stella McCartney has informed the press that she has no knowledge of a fashion line collaboration between her and Leona Lewis.

“I’ve never heard anything about it – it’s news to me!” Stella told Grazia.

We have heard, however, that Stella is doing a Spring collection for her children’s line with Baby Gap and Gapkids.

Stella McCartney will be doing another children’s clothing collection with Gapkids and Baby Gap.

Stella’s second collection will feature Spring items and will debut in March of 2010.

Originally, Stella had decided to do only one collection with Gap.

Best sellers from the Winter collection include the Miller Naval jacket, named after her son, Miller Alasdhair James Willis.

As expected, all items from the Winter collection were free of fur and leather.

Will Stella’s spring collection feature pastel colored sun dresses named after daughter Bailey?

Leona Lewis Stella McCartney Fashion Line

Leona Lewis arrives at the 37th American Music Awards in Los Angeles

You learn to crawl before you walk and the latest tabloid news is that Leona Lewis will be collaborating with another vegetarian designer to launch her fashion line before starting one of her own.

According to The Daily Mirror, Leona and Stella McCartney were seen at a charity event together.

“Leona and Stella get on like a house on fire. They met at the recent Children In Need charity show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.”

“They are both vegetarians, don’t wear leather and are huge animal lovers. The line would be very animal friendly.”

Of course, if we had a dollar for every time a British tabloid printed a story that stretched the truth a little…

Judging from the sources, it looks as if Leona and Stella were just having a good chat.

Another source told the media Leona said:

“I’m on a mission. I’d love to promote a line of non-leather bags and shoes that are affordable. I think more needs to be available and not so expensive.”

“There’s so much I want to do. I’ve always wanted to have my own fashion line, and that’s something I want to focus on next year.”

Whether or not Leona and Stella are actually doing a fashion line together is questionable.

But based on Leona’s history of goal driven success and love for animals, we’re certain she’ll be at least starting her own.

Stella McCartney Eyewear Luxotticaand Launch Veggie Style

Glamour 'Women of the Year' Awards - 2009

Stella McCartney thinks every woman should own 2 pairs of sunglasses, “a classic pair they’ll have forever, and a more playful pair. We’ve added that fun element to the line.”

Stella has launched her collection of eyewear with Luxotticaand at Fireplace Project in East Hampton, New York.

“My mum had this mad pair with Christmas trees on them that I loved when I was little. Sunglasses are one of the only accessories that can really have a sense of humour. But you walk a fine line between looking like a complete idiot and getting it just right.”

Guest like Alasdhair Willis and father Paul McCartney, Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts and Live Schreiber, enjoyed vegetarian foods like corn and black bean pie, veggie burgers and cookies.

Veggies are great for the vision, as researchers have discovered yellow and green vegetables help prevent eye diseases.

Every woman should have two pairs of sunglasses–and a daily side of broccoli and squash.
