Just a reminder, Natalie Portman will make a guest appearance on next week’s Top Chef.

Here’s a sneak peek at what happens when Natalie visits the chefs.

“As I said, I love food, I love eating,” Natalie says.

“I’m pretty adventurous with different flavors, different cuisines. The one thing is…”

The look on the chefs faces when Nat drops the “V” word is worth a million dollar prize itself.

Natalie Portman Quorn Healthy Celebrity

Love And Other Impossible Pursuits Premiere - 34th Annual Toronto International Film Festival

Quorn, which makes vegetarian faux meats from a fungus (yeah sounds gross, but taste really good) has compiled a list of healthiest celebrities and our darling vegan Natalie Portman made the cut.

“Natalie says vegetarianism is the key to being healthy! She has been a strict vegetarian since childhood and has great faith in the health benefits (http://www.goveg.com/healthConcerns.asp). Maybe she’s even a QuornTM lover?!”

The blog asks, “What do you think of the list? Anyone missing or glaring mistakes? The great debate starts here!”

Um, yeah, where the heck are the other vegetarians?

Everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Jessica Alba to Beyonce is listed, but it looks like Natalie is the only vegetarian on the top 10.

Strange, considering Quorn is a maker of vegetarian products.

We’d put NHL star Georges Laraque on there, along with Kind Dieter Alicia Silverstone, not to mention “I bike everywhere” Ed Begley Jr.

There are dozens are veg celebrities that could easily take the spots of the other nine.

Who else should Quorn name healthiest celeb?

Love And Other Impossible Pursuits Premiere - 34th Annual Toronto International Film Festival

Although Tobey Maguire had convinced Natalie Portman to go vegan for awhile last year, from an interview with Jake Gyllenhaal in Interview magazine, Natalie gave hints that she still might do the dairy.

However, a recent interview with the La Times confirms Natalie is indeed vegan, thanks to reading Jonathan Safran Foer‘s upcoming book, Eating Animals.

“There are certain things you can have different opinions on, but then other things, like torturing animals, [are] just wrong,” Natalie said and added she planned to become more outspoken on animal rights.

During the interview, Natalie was even munching on a soy cheese sandwich.

Ah, there’s no better way to show activism that by edible  example.

Natalie’s latest film, Kosher Vegetarian, premieres tomorrow October 16.

Natalie Portmans MakingOf Project - New York City
Natalie Portman is a strict vegan who won’t even wear clothing made from animals. But when it comes to her job in the film industry, she tries to keep personal life separate from business.

Portman recently appeared at an Apple store as part of the “Meet The Filmmaker” series.

Michael Croland, blogger for heeb’n’vegan, got the opportunity that every man on planet earth dreams about: to talk to Natalie.

Croland asked Portman about the film, Kosher Vegetarian, and how her religious and diet beliefs played a role in movie. Portman plays a Jewish woman in love with a Indian vegetarian.

“I try not to mix my beliefs too much with my filmmaking. … I went to see [Closer director] Mike Nichols speak the other night when he was at MoMA, and he was actually saying … the biggest job of the actor is to make a case for their character–that you have to defend your character no matter what. So if you’re playing a serial killer, you have to believe in that completely. … That’s your biggest job. … You’re obviously playing people with all different belief systems that are very different from your own.”
