Now Kim has launched a little project of her own, Healthybitchdaily.com.

Cindy Crawford Style for JCPenney Launch Party

Cindy Crawford has recently announced she’s a fan of Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin‘s vegan diet book, Skinny Bitch.

But Cindy either has a different copy than the rest of us or she needs to go through the book again with a yellow highlighter cause she thinks it gives her great incentives to cook with healthy ingredients like “chicken.”

When asked what book she’s recently read that’s had the most impact on her, Cindy answered:

“Skinny Bitch, by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. It’s a great incentive to eat well, and I get extra energy from healthy choices like vegetables and chicken – all food we can eat together.”

But Cindy is known for her misunderstandings of vegetarianism and animal issues.

She once posed in an anti-fur campaign, then appeared on the cover of Vogue wearing a hide that wasn’t her own.

Veganism and chicken, anti-fur and fur-it’s all the same to some supermodels.

“Every single vegan I know started off saying, ‘I could never give up meat’ or ‘I could never give up cheese.’ We all started off saying that and now we’re the biggest proselytizers out there because it’s the best…food has never tasted so good.”

Meatless Mouthful: That’s Why We Don’t Eat Animals’ Origins

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, September 11th, 2009 in Authors, Books, Meatless Mouthful.

“I was teaching art at an elementary school and the kids were all very curious about my veganism. I shared my point of view with them and they responded with incredible insight and clarity. Many of them, even being raised on meat and dairy, wished to go vegan, but there was no support system in their schools or homes. I looked, but couldn’t find a book on the subject that wasn’t based on a talking animal or vegetable — which I felt they were too smart for. I feel strongly that whatever you do, whether you’re a housecleaner, makeup artist, or a lawyer, you have the power to create change within your field. So I decided to write the book myself.”

—-Ruby Roth, author of That’s Why We Don’t Eat Animals on why she wrote the children’s book, which has been praised by vegetarian and vegan celebrities like Rory Freedman and Alicia Silverstone.
