In-N-Out Drops Beef Supplier, Needs Veggie Burger On Menu

Fast food chain In-N-Out has cut ties with one of its beef suppliers, Central Valley Meat, after the company was found to have violated animal welfare standards. That’s certainly a step in the right direction. But animal rights activist and eco-friendly entrepreneur Ari Solomon thinks In-N-Out can do better by putting a vegetarian burger on its menu.

“It’s definitely become easier,” said Nealon. “Restaurants are finally getting their act together and offering vegetarian courses. Some of the food tastes just like meat, too; it’s brilliant.”

This vegetarian, entrepreneur and fashion designer best known for her signature FEED bags that help feed the hungry worldwide, had no problem finding a trendy restaurant in the area to satisfy her appetite.

Bush dined at NOPI, a restaurant from renown chef and cookbook author Yotam Ottolenghi and later Tweeted about the experience, recommending Ottolenghi’s cookbook for similar eating.

Target’s newest opening in downtown Chicago will feature a Pret A Manger, a small chain of nationally recognize restaurants that serve natural foods.

More prominent in the UK, Pret A Manger stores feature an in-house kitchen and bakery and a fresh selection of daily soups, salads, sandwiches and more.

A few of the vegetarian items listed on Chicago’s menu include Falafel, Avocado and Pine Nut Wrap and several fruit salads.

Lady Gaga Meat Dress Born This Way Tour

Lady Gaga may have irked some vegetarians with any one of her several meat outfits, but during a trip to the Windy City, Gaga stopped by the Chicago Diner, home to some of the best vegetarian and vegan diner-style food.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Gaga ordered a black bean burger (aka The Black Mamba) from the Lakeview neighborhood restaurant. She later visited Karyn’s Cooked in River North on Friday for another plant-based meal.
