Ousted Big Brother housemate Victoria Eisermann is fighting back.

The model posed in a pro-vegetarian ad for PETA demonstrating what really should be evicted from everyone’s homes–meat.

Trading lettuce cups for bra cups, Eisermann held a strategically placed sign that read, “Evict Meat. Vote Vegan.”

Jillian Michaels

Jillian Michaels has written an editorial on how America can help those in poverty by making reforms to the food stamp program. You’ve already witnessed how purchasing vegan items on the grocery list might be one benefit to recipients as it may help dollars stretch.

As usual, these types of opinions tread the fine line between Big Brother taking care of the unfortunate and destroying their freedom of choice. And unless the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP designs an overhaul that both encourages and makes it feasible to eat well on a vegetarian or vegan diet, all the banning of sodas and chips won’t do much for the country’s poor.

But Michaels makes some good points.

Ted Deutch

A congressman celebrated his 46th birthday in style.

Ted Deutch, D-Boca Raton, hosted a dinner party in honor of growing older at Florida’s Sublime restaurant, a completely vegetarian eatery.

Sources say the politician and friends dined on Sicilian grilled vegetables, veggie burgers, Thai pizza, enchiladas, ravioli, quiche and chocolate nirvana cake.

The Sun-Sentinel said wrote, “It’s a good thing he’s in a safely liberal, Democratic district in Broward and Palm Beach counties. If he had more tea party constituents, they’d probably prefer he celebrate by eating red meat.”

Or, he’d, like a former Republican Montana  governor did, celebrate with veggies and then deny ever contemplating such a sin.
