Joe Elliott

Phil Collen has long been the face representing Def Leppard’s vegetarian side.

But during an interview with NPR,  singer Joe Elliott reveals most of the guys actually eat a plant-based diet. That means everyone noshes on hummus and pretzels at those wild backstage parties with scantily clad groupies.

NPR: I imagine cause you’re on tour with Poison and Lita Ford, that these are really wild backstage parties, but I read that you guys are all vegetarians and you just go to sleep at 8:30.

“Any animals harmed in the process of making that bread?” she asked during a  trip to the bakery. To which the baker jokingly replied, “Wheat.”

Watch a clip from the premier below or go to ABC to view the full episode where no nannies were harmed in the making.

Bob Marley

Creatures and the famous go together like vegan cookies and soy milk.

The latest in the other than human living kingdom to be paired with a celebrity name is a crustacean named Gnathia marleyi, named after the late Bob Marley.
