When on the road or anytime between hand washing, it’s nice to have waterless sanitizer on hand.

But most brands of sanitizer contain unhealthy added ingredients that aren’t good for people or the environment. Not to mention made by companies that may have tested the product on animals.

Frais Luxury products has all natural, vegan hand sanitizers that are free of everything a veg who’s concerned about hygiene could ask for: parabens, propylene glycol, and other unnatural chemicals. And absolutely no animal testing. Plus, Frais is PETA certified as a cruelty-free vegan cosmetic company.

Reportedly, celebs like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Ripa, America Ferrera, and Britney Spears have all scrubbed their hands clean with Frais’ products and liked the results.

Using sugarcane alcohol as the main ingredient, Frais then adds all the smelly stuff like tangerine and ginger that will keep you sniffing yourself minutes after you apply.

Just try to avoid doing this for too long in public.

Victoria’s Secret PINK Body Gets Vegan, Organic On Us

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, February 19th, 2009 in Business, Cosmetics And Beauty Products.

vspink
Ethical beauty product consumers have long known about specialty brands like Aubrey Organics, that pledge to not use animal ingredients and do not contain dangerous chemicals.

But mainstream companies are catching on that beauty really is more than skin deep-all those toxins in some cosmetics are being absorbed into our systems and some studies show cause all sorts of maladies from skin irritation to cancer.

From the Victoria’s Secret Press Release:

INTRODUCING PINK BODY, a unique line of skin-loving and earth-friendly products created specifically for the pink girl. She spoke. We listened. The result? A more personalized approach to everyday body care using organic and vegan ingredients, powerful natural formulas and eco-friendly packaging.

Victoria’s Secret PINK collection features 100% natural, organic, vegan ingredients such as oatmeal, citrus, mint, coffee beans and soy milk. And absolutely no animal testing.

Coffee beans? Soy Milk? Sounds delicious, we know, but the products are only meant to be applied externally. Sorry.

The collection features four categories: Energizing, Nourishing, Soothing, and Essentials for dull, dry, sensitive skin, and everyday needs that any beauty type can use.

While this of course isn’t your $2 tube of lip balm, prices are reasonable, from $8 for lip butter to $15 for energizing body lotion.

Check out the entire collection of Victoria Secret’s PINK Body and shop for the vegan product that suits your skin best.

Victoria Beckham Presents Jeans Collection In Madrid

Victoria Beckham and Dannii Mingoue have expressed excitement about a range of vegan beauty products created by English beautician Deborah Mitchell, according to the Shropshire Star.

Not long ago, Ms. Mitchell was a mobile beautician with barely enough profits to make ends meet. Now she has a salon in London where she caters to stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Claudia Schiffer and flies to the U.S. to take care of star clients there.

Her product line, Heaven, is completely vegan and she thinks that’s part of what made her so successful.

“My products are completely organic and accredited by the Soil Association. They are vegan friendly and have all gone through stringent tests, sometimes for many years. I design it and then improve on it.”

Heaven products are sold in many countries from Britain to America to South Africa and are currently being negotiated to be sold in Dubai.

Skin Care For Athletes is an all natural, organic skin care line that does not contain any animal or animal byproducts. Recently the company was invited by GBK productions to attend the 2008 Golden Goggle Awards and present their goodies in the VIP Gift Bag.

Several athletes and celebrities were there to enjoy it, including “Ugly Betty” star Ana Ortiz, who plays Betty’s older (and very sexy) sister, Hilda.

“I love[it], love the smell and it feels so nice,” she was quoted as saying of the Tri-Body Moisturizing Spray.

It’s fantastic to see a cruelty free product being given props by celebrities, such as when Whoopi Goldberg was excited to hear the PureOlogy product she was using was vegan.

We at the Veg Star personally like Aubrey Organics products. Most are vegan, and of course none are tested on animals.

Do you have a beauty or personal care product that’s cruelty free you enjoy?
