Vegetarian Pamela Anderson Going Dancing With The Stars

6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards

Pamela Anderson has just signed on to compete in the reality TV show Dancing with the Stars.

A source told Radar Online, “Pam is thrilled and so is the show.”

“She really wanted to do the show and the show thought it was a great idea,” the source added.

Is Pamela looking to imitate vegan Heather Mills, who’s dancing on ice this season on an equally popular UK celebrity reality television show?

It’s almost certain that the vegetarian Pamela will request cruelty-free costumes–no leather, fur or wool.

Fellow competitors should also expect some PETA pamphlets left in their dressing rooms.

Pamela Anderson Learns How to Snowboard from Olympic Team!

You already know that Dennis Kucinich would make everyone eat vegan brownies if he were dictator.

Now, Pamela Anderson has revealed how she would run the town if she were mayor.

“I would start a ‘Be Veggie for a Day’ campaign,” the blond sex symbol said.

If Pamela ever joins government in London, she’ll be able to direct everyone where to eat during Veggie Day.

“I love all vegetarian restaurants in London. There was a great one I found last time I was here called Mildreds on Lexington Street in Soho. I went to San Lorenzo on Beauchamp Place recently with my manager Peter Asher; it was delicious. We went with Marc Quinn, the sculptor, after our session working together, and we ran into Twiggy. I used to love going to Sketch with the handsome TV presenter Steve Jones but that was a long time ago.”

Owain Yeoman, Veg Celebs Give Funniest Meat Eater Comments

Written by Vegetarian Star on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 in Actors, Actresses, Female Singers, Models.

BAFTA/LAs 2nd Annual British Comedy Festival

What’s the most ridiculous thing an omnivore ever asked you? Was it the “do you eat chicken?” question?

Philstar.com has compiled some information on several vegetarian celebrities, including why they went veg, favorite restaurants, frustrating moments as a vegetarian, etc.

Owain Yeoman, Geneva Cruz, Yasmien Kurdi, and Pamela Anderson are all profiled.

Here are a few highlights from the “Funniest Thing Ever Said To Me By Meat Eaters” question:

Owain Yeoman
“Someone once asked me if I wasn’t concerned that vegetarianism will “stunt my growth” and at 6’4” and 190 pounds, the last thing I am worried about is my growth being stunted!”

Pamela Anderson
“It’s pretty funny when a meat eater tells me that he or she is an environmentalist. The meat trade is the number one cause of global warming!”

Geneva Cruz
““WHY?!!!!” My answer is “Why not?!!” There.”

Yasmien Kurdi
“I can’t think of anything specific, but what I’ve told meat eaters is if they want to contract swine flu, bird flu, and all those other animal-borne diseases — or if they want to die an early death — then they should eat meat! Hahaha! I know it’s a bit harsh, but I like to be direct when talking about animal issues and I think this makes meat eaters seriously rethink their diet … though outwardly we laugh about it.”

Pamela Anderson recently took a trip to Montenegro to meet with the Atlas Group and discuss building a eco friendly spa and hotel in the country.

The hotel, if Pamela decides by next month to build, will contain all the elements of a green business, right down to serving organic and vegetarian food as much as possible.

If this seems like the exception to the rule, the vegetarian actress and sex symbol says it’s the norm for Montenegro.

“A country well versed and already committed to the ecological principles so important to me,” Pamela says as she introduces Montenegro.

“A country where local and organic farming already exists by default, rather than by design.”

That’s it. Give us a timeshare for a condo there!
