“Industrial animal production destroys everything it touches. It destroys the animals, it destroys the workers, it destroys the communities, and it destroys the people who consume the animal products… Unfortunately, the people who produce meat, the people who produce dairy, and the people who produce eggs – they’re lying to you. So do what you can, educate yourself, know where your food comes from, and then make the ethical choice.”

Moby

Moby has been a vegan for about half his life, but at a Wanderlust Festival Speakeasy Lecture series, the musician filled in the blanks about what his diet was like before he found the starving kitten in the dumpster that made him rethink his dedication to animals.

“Up until the time I was about 19 years old, I had nothing but disdain for vegetarians and vegans. There was a woman in my high school class and she refused to play softball because the mitt was made out of leather. And I just thought that was the stupidest thing I’d ever heard.”
