Kris Carr is on the cover of Experience L!FE‘s April 2011 issue.

The vegan actress, author and cancer survivor coined a phrase “Sexy, Crazy [insert word]” that’s become as famous as her. Her most recent book, Crazy, Sexy Diet, has enjoyed a spot on both Amazon’s and the New York Time’s Best Sellers lists. She’s also the author of Crazy, Sexy Cancer Survivor, Crazy, Sexy Cancer Tips and founded the website, Crazysexylife.com.

Carr interview with Experience L!FE discusses her surprise diagnosis with a rare form of cancer, the treatment path she chose and how her switch to a vegan diet has fueled her well-being even after cancer recovery.

Kathy Freston‘s Veganist is #4 in the Hardcover Advice & Misc. category during its debut week on the list and Kris Carr‘s Crazy Sexy Diet is not far behind at #7 and has been on the list for 3 weeks.

Kris Carr, author of Crazy Sexy Diet and several other books, appeared on Good Morning America for its “New Year, New You” series to discuss her new book and offer advice on eating a plant-based diet for better health. Diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer eight years ago, Carr made the switch to a veg diet and, as the GMA host described, “is thriving.”

Carr shared her daily breakfast drink, which consists of several green vegetables, a pear and a hint of ginger.

“The rest of the time I like to look at my plate and least 50% is covered in plants, greens,” Carr said when asked what her remaining meals for the day looked like. Brown rice, millet and beans are examples of what makes up the remaining 50% of her meal.

Kris Carr, former actress and now author, motivational speaker and founder of the website Crazy Sexy Life has published a new book, Crazy Sexy Diet, that details the how-tos of a vegetarian, low-glycemic diet. Carr, a cancer survivor who also wrote Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor and Crazy Sexy Cancer Tips made a dramatic change in her eating habits after her diagnosis, which included switching to a plant-based diet.

Crazy Sexy cancer survivor Kris Carr will be a featured speaker at the Think Pink Boutique presented by The Augusta Chronicle and University Hospital Breast Health Center on Oct. 13 at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion in Augusta, Georgia.

Kris is the founder of crazysexylife.com, a website for all things health, wellness, and veg.

Before Kris was diagnosed with a rare form of incurable cancer on Valentine’s Day in 2003, she was meat food junkie.

“I was a disaster. I was a junk-food junkie. I ate steak and processed foods,” she said.

Now she sticks to an organic, vegan diet that’s mostly raw.

She also advises using shampoos that are made with plant based ingredients versus chemicals.

Kris is popular, as there are only about 60 or so tickets remaining for her “Think Pink Boutique” speech next week.
