Colbie Caillat has released her first Christmas album, Christmas in the Sand.

The collection of 12 songs features classics like Santa Baby, Silver Bells and Baby It’s Cold Outside with guest vocalists like Brad Paisley and Gavin DeGraw.

The holidays can be a great time for pets, but it’s also a potentially dangerous one if precautions aren’t taken.

The owner of rescue dogs herself, Colbie has partnered with the Humane Society of the United States to bring pet owners some tips for keeping their four-legged family members safe through the New Year.

“It’s actually been an easy transition because my sister’s been vegetarian for about 15 years. I’ve always loved her vegetarian mushroom gravy. She also makes cauliflower mashed “potatoes,” and my mom makes a veggie stuffing. There’s always lots of vegetarian food to choose from.”

Colbie Caillat is the face behind Libby B. Skincare, a line of animal-friendly cosmetics created from natural plant-based ingredients.

“It’s made with all-natural ingredients, and I love that it’s not tested on animals,” the singer told Artist Direct. “The bottle is eco-friendly too. Since I’m all about everything being organic, natural, and good for putting in or on your body, I thought it was a really great line to partner up with.”

Ross is encouraging the passage of legislation that would retire chimpanzees in invasive medical research labs while Caillat fought for all mother dogs during Puppy Mill Action week which ended Mother’s Day weekend.

Puppy Mill Action Week is wrapping up and singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat has helped the Humane Society of the United States educate people on how important it is to not support mills through a series of recorded PSAs featuring her music.

Pet lovers were urged to take a different action every day during Action Week and for Friday, Caillat and the HSUS would like you to urge Congress to pass the PUPS Act.
