Actor Alan Cumming (The Good Wife, Spykids, X2: XMen United, Nightcrawler) has a featured interview in the November/December 2010 issue of Vegetarian Times where he discusses his rescue dogs, blasting fur-wearing Broadway and what he wished he would have told the Queen about using synthetic bear fur for the guards’ hats.

“A few years ago, I signed a petition asking the queen to stop using bearskin for those helmets [worn by Buckingham Palace guards] that tourists take pictures of. I didn’t get a chance to say this to the queen, but she should use a nice synthetic fiber for the helmets.”

Alan Cumming might take his leftover vegetarian lasagna with soy cheese to work on the set of the CBS drama The Good Wife, where he plays political campaign manager Eli Gold.

Whatever soy cheese he’s using, Cumming says it melts like the real thing.

“I’m a vegetarian,” Cumming told Wall Street Journal, “though I do eat eggs and cheese sometimes. But I make a good vegan lasagna with soy cheese. Soy cheese melts really well.”

Besides the examples of soy cheese we’ve given before, there’s a new kid on the block that is getting talked about a lot in vegetarian forums.

Unlike many other vegan cheeses, Daiya Cheese is soy free.

'Mistletoe, Mischief & Myrrh!' The Trevor Project Cracked Xmas

Sandra Bernhard knows how to get her vegan footy on!

During a chat with Graham Norton and Alan Cumming, Sandra immediately mentions that she’s wearing a pair of Stella McCartney’s vegan shoes.

The vegetarian actress and comedian has been making people laugh since the 1970s.

An interesting point is brought up during the conversation that Stella’s vegan shoe shop is located in a meat-packing district. Ha! What a way to make a statement.

They’re red, they’re flashy, but best of all, they’re cruelty-free. There’s a close-up of Sandra’s feet if you watch the video.

For some adult humor, be sure to check out Sandra’s shirt to see how she views a particular president.
