Alicia Silverstone is a master of many vegan trades (cooking, cruelty-free beauty, vegan pregnancy) and when it comes to her work with food, she does have a few favorite tools to help her get the job done.

The actress and author of her second book on the vegan lifestyle, The Kind Mama, shared what she absolutely cannot do without in the kitchen.

“I love my little lemon squeezer,” she said. “It’s this thing that folds open and you put a half of a lemon inside. I can use my hand instead, but there’s something so nice about getting every last drop.”
