Red Robin

Red Robin has made some of its vegetarians fan irate after a commercial aired suggesting the veggie burgers it serves are perfect for the teenage daughter you have that’s going through a change.

The ad features a female boasting about the 24 different types of burgers the chain has, adding, “We even have a garden burger just in case your teenage daughter is going through a phase.”

Before you click to close the browser (isn’t this a vegetarian site?), you should know that the main point of Ray’s cooking demonstration was not to teach about meaty dogs themselves but the toppings that could go on them.

Not forgetting her meatless fans, Ray suggests what goes well on every type of dog, including tofu dogs.

“Masterchef” Nikki Dinki Makes Vegan Sloppy Joes (Video)

Nikki Dinki is the Masterchef contestant with the flexitarian philosophy of “meat on the side.”

While many vegetarians applaud her attempt to get everyone to eat less meat, some were a little less than pleased that on a recent episode she put real meat in a burger with vegetables versus making a vegetable burger or other plant-based entree and actually putting the meat on the side.

Dinki’s vegetarian sloppy joes more than make up for this faux meat faux pas.
