Katy Perry has a fish eating vegetarian sister, who’ll waste no time giving her the smackdown  if she catches her eating other meat.

“My sister makes me watch what I eat. She’s a pescatarian, a vegetarian who eats fish, and she’s lost so much weight from being that. She’ll scream at me if some of the crew on my tour get hot pizza for a snack and I want some. Sometimes I can grab a slice, but if my sister sees me, I get a verbal lashing! I eat secretly in the corner – my one pepperoni slice.”

Hopefully, this will keep Katy, the aspiring vegetarian who can’t give up chicken, in line.

Otherwise, little sis might have to break out the leather-free belt for a good whipping!

If Kanye West were around Taylor Swift when she was recently in Australia, he would have grabbed the mic, pushed her out the way and yelled, “Taylor, you’re a really great singer and all, but this spot’s reserved for someone who knows how to treat wildlife.”

Swift made a post on her Twitter about “wild possum feeding,” which drew criticism from a Department of Sustainability and Environment spokesman.

“We know people who feed wild animals often have the best intentions and that it is attractive to tourists who want to interact with Australian wildlife,” he said, according to the Herald Sun.

“However, DSE advises people not to feed wild animals…it can disrupt their natural behaviour and it can cause some animals to lose their natural fear of people, making them vulnerable to attack.”

Of course, one hopes Taylor’s Twitter post meant she really did have the best intentions of feeding the possum–and not feeding on them.

Carrie Underwood has teamed up with Pedigree, a sponsor of her Play On tour, to film a PSA for their adoption drive.

Her four legged friend Ace is also set to make an appearance.

“I can’t imagine life without my dog,” vegetarian Carrie told Pedigree at the shoot, according to Peoplepets.

“Dogs are just beautiful souls that don’t want a thing from you.”

“He’s just so special because he loves me for no reason other than I love him back.”

“He’s smart and he’s fun, and makes me really appreciate all the little things in life because he is a little thing.”

Hope Carrie drives every would be pet owner to the local shelter to adopt.

The PSA debuts on Monday February 15.

Leona Lewis took to the Twitter to slam the Brit Awards for wanting to serve foie gras at the celebration.

“I was outraged 2 hear that the Brit Awards were planning 2 serve foie-gras at the ceremony. They hav now removed it from the menu,well done!”

This smart gal wanted to educate her fans on what foie gras really was.

“In case u didn’t no, Foie-gras is duck that is forced fed in a sickening cruel process and is banned in the uk.”

While the BRITS took forced fed duck off the menu, there’s still room for improvement.

“The BRITS menu sadly won’t b ‘cruelty free’ however it is still a major victory & they are taking an ethical stance! Well done and thank u”

Leona Lewis says seeing people wear fur makes her stomach churn.

“When I see people wearing fur it makes me so sick. Especially when I see young singers doing it – that sickens me.”

Being such an animal lover, you can imagine how she felt when stylists tried to throw animal attire on her for a photo shoot.

“When I rocked up to my first photo shoot they had feathers and fur there and everything in despise,” she said to Live magazine, according to Angry Ape. “I had to make it so clear that I just do not go there.”

Not long ago, Leona Lewis was reported to be stuck in a hotel with nothing to eat but cheese sandwiches.

However, her recent interview with the Mail Online showed she experienced a significant food upgrade.

At the request of her management, Leona received a “well-grilled tofu, grilled asparagus, steamed broccoli and a side of soy sauce.”

At home, Leona is all about having someone do the cooking for her.

“I get takeaways for tea, or beans on toast. I don’t like bread that much. I get Chinese – it’s so much effort to cook.”

The best restaurant, of course, is mom’s kitchen.

“My mum always cooks; she babies me.”

Any chance of Leona hiring mom as her on the road personal veggie chef?

But when it comes to vegetarian celebrities like Paul McCartney and singer Pink, you know they’re serious about promoting their beliefs.

Paul McCartney launched his meat-free Monday campaign in hopes of having everyone skip beef, pork and poultry for just one day a week.

And singer Pink puts compassion behind her argument against the environmentally unfriendly fur industry, never hesitating to trash another celebrity for being cruel enough to purchase animal hide.

VV Brown, a former steak loving girl who’s thought about giving up eggs, is now a fish eating vegetarian who shared what she likes to buy at the grocery store in the regular column at The Guardian, What’s In Your Basket?

Speaking of fish, VV’s had a bad experience with seafood while on a date.

“He insisted we try oysters. I copied him with the lemon juice and the little fork, and down it went. It felt like swallowing snot – £2-a-pop snot. Never again”

Sounds traumatic enough for VV to chuck the whole pescatarian thing and go full veg!

VV’s basket contains hummus, which Dr. Briffa at The Guardian says is good for maintaining steady blood sugar levels.

“The chickpeas here will give a good sustained release of sugar into the bloodstream, and make a light yet quite nutritious pre-gig meal when combined with crudités (rather than crackers).”
