Stella McCartney Honored By Jerry Seinfeld At Corporate Gala

Stella McCartney was honored at the Alice Tully Hall for Lincoln Center’s second annual Corporate Fund gala in New York.

Several star guests had kind words to say about the vegetarian clothing designer but it was a Q & A by comedian and actor Jerry Seinfeld that truly put the meat in a celebrity “roast.”

Seinfeld took the opportunity to joke about Stella’s cruelty-free ethics in her fashion collections, which includes not using leather or fur.

“I eat only leather and fur,” he said.

Colbie Caillat took to her Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts to express her sentiments on the marine park SeaWorld.

The singer known for hits like “I Do” wore a “SeaWorld Kills” t-shirt made by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Caillat, a vegan who’s also called for the end of animal-tested cosmetics in the United States, got nothing but rave reviews from the group for her fashion choice.

Fashion star Vivienne Westwood has recorded a PSA just in time for World Water Day on March 22 to let people know they can help conserve one of Earth’s most valuable resources both in and out of the bathroom.

Shorter showers are great for saving water, but so is following a vegetarian diet.

“I am an eco-warrior,” says Westwood in the video.

“But I take long showers with a clean conscious because I’m vegetarian.”

MTV Europe presenter Laura Whitmore is helping to promote a competition to design the next fashionable vegan shoe.

The contest is a collaboration between PETA UK and vegan shoe company Beyond Skin.

Whitmore will choose the winning design.

“I truly believe that the future of fashion lies in sustainable, cruelty-free materials, and companies like Beyond Skin and organisations like PETA are leading the way in creating awareness,” said  Whitmore.
