Looking for the simplest of pasta dishes to try?

Chef Fabio’s pasta with Easy Romesco Sauce is very vegetarian friendly.

Romesco sauce is a traditional Italian sauce made with vegetables that are first pan fried to release the flavors and then blended to make a smooth sauce. Use a blender or food processor to make this step simple.

Look no further than to Terry Hope Romero, author of several vegan cookbooks including Vegan Eats World and Viva Vegan that focus on Latin cooking without meat, eggs, and dairy.

“When I became vegetarian my parents were not into it,” said Romero, whose parents are Venezuelan. “They felt the way most parents of Latina vegans feel, thinking that I was going to get sick or even die. It comes from a loving place of course.”

Paula Deen‘s recent controversy on the use of a racial slur has sparked many satirical skits and commentary and John Oliver from The Daily Show jumped at the chance to do the same in a segment titled “Fried and Prejudice.”

Using the Food Network chef’s history of preparing artery clogging, meat and dairy based entrees and her past health issues with diabetes, Oliver mocks Deen in several ways.

He brings out a correspondent who suggests that given her symptoms, she might have “Type I or Type II racism.”

Oliver said of Deen’s confirmed use of a racial slur:

“The n-word? Which one did she use, because I know it wasn’t non-fat? Boom!”

Rachael Ray appeared on Good Morning America to discuss hot dogs!

Before you click to close the browser (isn’t this a vegetarian site?), you should know that the main point of Ray’s cooking demonstration was not to teach about meaty dogs themselves but the toppings that could go on them.

Not forgetting her meatless fans, Ray suggests what goes well on every type of dog, including tofu dogs.

He’s prepared meals for weddings, socialite parties, pet parties and even celebrities like himself.

During an interview with NPR, Ali discussed how he once prepared a meal for Matisyahu.

The vegan rapper wanted a vegan Thai meal, the preparation of which was supervised by a rabbi to ensure the feast was Kosher.
