Kelsey Grammer may be saying “Cheers” to Meatless Monday now that he’s married to vegetarian Katye Walsh.

The two celebrated with both a pre-wedding dinner and wedding menu that was very vegetarian friendly.

“The only specific request was to make sure there were vegetarian items,” a source told Ok! Magazine. “Kayte is a vegetarian and Kelsey’s biggest concern was that she had vegetarian items to eat.”

TMZ obtained a copy of the wedding menu, which even notes clearly on the form that “Bride Is A Vegetarian.”

The vegan of every season, Emily Deschanel, recently married her love and writer-actor David Hornsby. The wedding planners, Bash Please, are reporting the reception catering was done by Madeleine Bistro.

Along with this publicly released photo, Bash Please posted a little blurb on its blog that Emily’s wedding may have been the vegan icing on the cake for all weddings they’ve handled.

We love veggie couples.

That’s why we’re overjoyed to hear that vegan Zooey Deschanel and vegetarian Ben Gibbard are expected to tie the knot this month.

From Page Six:

“A spy at the Bar Method ballet studio in Los Angeles says, “Zooey is in Belfast with James Franco and Natalie Portman” — filming Your Highness — “but will return at the end of September for her ceremony in Seattle.””

With Zooey and her sister Emily being vegan, and both Ben and his Death Cab For Cutie band mate Chris Walla being vegetarian, you know the reception will be filled with abundant veg food and may even be completely vegan.

Vegetarian and vegan weddings may be harder to plan if you have meat eating guests, but that’s no reason to back down. It’s your day, after all!

Longtime sweethearts Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi married in Los Angeles this past weekend.

“What can I say? I’m the luckiest girl in the world,” said DeGeneres to People magazine. “She’s officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she’ll cook and clean for me.”

Perhaps that cooking will include more tempeh for the happy couple.

Although the two are not vegetarians, Ellen is rumored to have been one in the past and still very supportive about veg issues. Which may be why the two decided on having a completely vegan menu for the wedding reception, including vegan red velvet cake.
