Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, April 12th, 2010 in Actresses, Food & Drink, Videos.

The clip above shows some highlights from Pamela Anderson making and debuting her signature celebrity milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood.

Pamela’s is the first vegan celebrity milkshake and Hollywood.tv got the chance to chat with Pamela during the event.

Pamela said her kids like the milkshake and it’s what she makes for them at home in Malibu.

“I think a lot of young people love being vegetarian, because they’re more open to being educated about it,” Pamela added.

Sure the old will like Pamela’s shake just as much–especially if a daily shake will bring them her Dancing with the Stars legs!

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, February 5th, 2010 in Actresses, Reality TV.

6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards

Pamela Anderson has just signed on to compete in the reality TV show Dancing with the Stars.

A source told Radar Online, “Pam is thrilled and so is the show.”

“She really wanted to do the show and the show thought it was a great idea,” the source added.

Is Pamela looking to imitate vegan Heather Mills, who’s dancing on ice this season on an equally popular UK celebrity reality television show?

It’s almost certain that the vegetarian Pamela will request cruelty-free costumes–no leather, fur or wool.

Fellow competitors should also expect some PETA pamphlets left in their dressing rooms.

Pamela Anderson For Mayor–Be Veggie For A Day Campaign

Pamela Anderson Learns How to Snowboard from Olympic Team!

You already know that Dennis Kucinich would make everyone eat vegan brownies if he were dictator.

Now, Pamela Anderson has revealed how she would run the town if she were mayor.

“I would start a ‘Be Veggie for a Day’ campaign,” the blond sex symbol said.

If Pamela ever joins government in London, she’ll be able to direct everyone where to eat during Veggie Day.

“I love all vegetarian restaurants in London. There was a great one I found last time I was here called Mildreds on Lexington Street in Soho. I went to San Lorenzo on Beauchamp Place recently with my manager Peter Asher; it was delicious. We went with Marc Quinn, the sculptor, after our session working together, and we ran into Twiggy. I used to love going to Sketch with the handsome TV presenter Steve Jones but that was a long time ago.”

Celebrities at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards in Los Angeles, CA

Pamela Anderson‘s animal friendly fragrance, Malibu, is set to hit the shelves in stores November 2009.

Malibu will be available in CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Sears and Overstock.com and will feature a holiday gift set option with body lotion, shower gel and a purse-friendly mini-bottle.

The 1.7 ounce will cost $39 and the 3.4 ounce spray will cost for $49.

Pamela spoke to the Sun-Sentinel from her home over the phone about the upcoming fragrance.

SS: Is it true that Malibu fragrance is just the start of your own skin care roll-out of products? Are you planning on taking over the beauty field?
PA: “It’s the first of many products – sun care, of course; bubbles, lotions, potions…and emotions…Not the entire beauty field – just the hot ones.”

SS: Describe your Malibu life that the fragrance evokes?
PA: “Beachy, just woke up, get your kids to school look and still get into trouble now and then. Hot for boyfriend.”

SS: You’re such an animal activist. Are you sure your new fragrance wasn’t tested on cute little bunnies or mice?
PA: “Hell no. Not even ugly bunnies or mice.”

Pamela Anderson A*Muse Uses Ultrasuede Recycled Bottle Fabric

ANZFW 2009 - A Muse By Richie Rich Catwalk

Much ado about Pamela Anderson‘s eco friendly clothing line A*Muse has taken place, but what makes Pamela’s swimsuits and shoes more environmentally sound than others?

“We’ve got organic cottons and the boots we’re going to be doing are made out of recycled bottles,” Anderson revealed. “A company called Ultrasuede has this great fabric they make out of recycled bottles which we are going to use.”

Cool!

It’s great to learn something new everyday, and Pamela agrees.

“Every day you learn something new about the world around us,” she says. “I just learned about the mountain of plastic in the ocean. I mean that’s just disgusting. So, if you’re going to do something, do it right – be it choosing the right fabrics or where you are going to get things manufactured.”

“If you put the thought into it at the beginning instead of trying to fix it at the end… instead of having a problem that you have to fix why not do it right in the first place. With A*Muse we want to inspire people to think about it but not to be too preachy, we’re going to have fun with it. Like go vegetarian – we’re doing it anyway so why not incorporate it into it the range?”

A*Muse debuted last week at Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

It’s not yet known where the clothing line will be distributed.

Pamela Anderson‘s debut of A*Muse has come to an end at Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

When a reporter asked her if she’d always be remembered as CJ running on the beach in a red swimsuit on Baywatch, Pamela answered she’d rather be remembered for her work with vegetarianism and animal rights.

Of course, wearing a red G-string while introducing your eco conscious fashion helps to make a lasting impression.

Pamela Anderson Minus Mulesing: Air New Zealand Fashion Week

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, September 25th, 2009 in Actresses, Animal Issues, Fashion.

ANZFW 2009 - A Muse By Richie Rich Catwalk

During a press conference promoting her new fashion line A*Muse at the ongoing Air New Zealand Fashion Week, Pamela Anderson said to reporters:

“Would you like a vegetarian appetiser? Without the mueslying [sic],” she said. “Yeah, no pig or sheep hurting.”

Come again?

What exactly is mulesing?

From savethesheep.com:

“In Australia, the most commonly raised sheep are Merinos, specifically bred to have wrinkly skin, which means more wool per animal. This unnatural overload of wool causes many sheep to collapse and even die of heat exhaustion during hot months, and the wrinkles collect urine and moisture. Attracted to the moisture, flies lay eggs in the folds of skin, and the hatched maggots can eat the sheep alive. To prevent this so-called “flystrike,” Australian ranchers perform a barbaric operation-called “mulesing”-where they force live sheep onto their backs, restrain their legs between metal bars, and, without any painkillers whatsoever, slice chunks of flesh from around their tail area. This is done to cause smooth, scarred skin that can’t harbor fly eggs. Ironically, the exposed, bloody wounds themselves often get flystrike before they heal.”

Yikes!

The very thought of mulesing takes the sexiness out of fashion.

We’ll take our next sweater minus the wool or cashmere.
