Gwyneth Paltrow All Smiles After Talking With GMA

Gwyneth Paltrow has recently shared on her blog, Goop, the diet and fitness regime she adhered to while getting fit for her new role in Iron Man 2.

Paltrow is known for her use of ingredients that, although many vegetarians find as staples, like vegan Mayonnaise, has brought her ridicule and called an elitist.

Ahlanlive took advantage of her latest newsletter entry to mock her diet, citing what Paltrow uses in her world, versus what regular Joe’s use in theirs.

GOOP World: 7am: Wake up, have a green tea
Real World: 7am: Alarm goes off. Unpeel tongue from roof of mouth. Momentarily wish was dead as preferential to getting up and going to work. Hit snooze button.

GOOP World: Post-workout: Kale Juice (kale, lemons, agave nectar, cold water)
Real World: What the hell is agave nectar?

GOOP World: 1pm Lunch: 1 Mountain Valley Wrap, 1.5 tablespoons of Almond Butter, Chopped Dates
Real World: “Hello, is that More? Yeah, can I get a lasagne for delivery, please? Yep, that’s it, thanks. No nothing else.” Pause. “And chips.”

Gwyneth Paltrow has given her Goop readers some details about how she got into shape for her latest role as Pepper Pots in Iron Man 2.

Besides the exercises shown in the video below that resemble some sort of dog relieving himself on the fire hydrant, Gwneth’s routine included some vegan wraps smothered in nut butter and kale juice!

Breakfasts consisted of almond milk with fruit, and lunches often had Gwyneth consuming tortilla wraps with almond butter and dates or avocado, tomato, cucumbers and jicama slivers.

Huh?

Jicama is a sweet root plant that resembles a turnip.

It’s cultivated in South America and very popular in Mexican cuisines.

Head on over to Goop to get the wrap recipes.

Katie Cleary “Iron Man 2” Star Gives Good Deal To Rescue Animals

Iron Man 2 World Premiere

Katie Cleary is a Chicago raised, former “Deal or No Deal” model who went on to snag spots in “Entourage,” “CSI: NY” and her latest film, Iron Man 2.

When you’re a contestant on Deal or No Deal with two cases left and they’re both worth under $5, you’ve made a bad deal turning down $100,000 two commercials ago.

Cleary thinks getting a dog from a puppy mill is a really bad deal, and she told Bleacher Report about more of her activism, which includes volunteering at the Shambala Preserve for big cats ran by actress Tippi Hedren.

“I was the award presenter three years in a row for the Genesis Awards to support animals causes in the media. I recently showed my support for various causes by protesting with some of the crew from the TV Show “Whale Wars” and got the restaurant “The Hump” shut down because they were illegally serving whale meat and turtle blood. Really disgusting people! I have also protested against most of the pet stores in LA that buy their puppies from puppy-mills where the dogs are sick and malnourished. This will soon be illegal and myself and a bunch of volunteers fight to educate the owners to go humane or shut down in our “Adopt – don’t buy” campaigns.”

Cleary runs her own amateur sanctuary at home, with two rescue dogs, two rescue cats, one rescue parrot and three rescue turtles!

Mickey Rourke At “Iron Man 2” Premiere Fakes Exotic Skin Lapel

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 in Actors, Fashion.

Iron Man 2 World Premiere

Mickey Rourke attended the premiere of Iron Man 2 this week wearing a three piece brown suit with exotic animal skin looking lapels.

Rest assured, the actor who now seems naked without his dear deceased dog Loki, who was always at his side, says the panels aren’t from real animals.

“(It’s) some kind of crocodile or something,” Rourke said, according to USA Today. “It’s not real, though. I don’t want to hear from the animal activists. I didn’t make it. A guy named David August made it. Sylvester Stallone turned me on to the guy. He’s really a rock and roll dude.”
