David Duchovny Holy Cow

Most know David Duchovny for his good looks and film roles, but many may not be aware that he’s also a pretty educated individual.

He holds a degree in English literature from Princeton and began a PhD in the same discipline at Yale.

Mr. Smarty Pants must know a thing or two about the meat and dairy industry as he’s created a satirical, but wise tale about a cow that decides to emigrate to India once she discovers the horrors of the factory farms in America.

Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale is the first novel from the X-Files and Californication actor.

“Well I grew up there so I got a million “only in New York” stories, but … right now I’m a big Candle Cafe guy. My daughter’s gone vegan recently and we like Candle Cafe, on the East and West side. So maybe I’ll get a free piece of tofu out of that plug.”

The Joneses premiered this weekend, a film starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny about a family that moves into a neighborhood with all the latest accessories and gadgets, secretly serving as marketing puppets to get the neighbors to buy new things.

The movie was filmed in Atlanta and director Derrick Borte spent a lot of time at the Dekalb Farmers Market downtown.

The market restaurant, open seven days a week from 11AM to 8PM, serves fresh meals with a heavy emphasis on vegetables.

Two vegetarian options, the lasagna and the signature samosas, are said to be favorites among customers.

Promoting fresh, local food with plant based options?

Now that’s a trend worth following.

Ahem…they were eating at separate tables.

Don’t want to get any of those rumors started.

Kathy, author of the Quantum Wellness books is a well known vegan and David has been spotted at vegan friendly restaurants in the past.

Is Duchovny a closet tofu eater?

Sure we’ll find out sooner or later.

**UK AND USA USE ONLY** David Duchovny on the red carpet prior to the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, held at the Shrine AuditoriumWow! Several big celebrities were spotted eating at vegan friendly A Voltre Sante restaurant recently, including David Duchovny, Matthew McConaughey, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Rumor has it David used to be a vegan and his now separated from wife Tea Leoni was too. But we’re quite surprised and pleased to learn Matthew and the Olsen twins made their way there as well.

Now, vegan friendly doesn’t mean completely vegan. But to hear the spokesperson for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the most infamous fur wearing twins at least stopping by to dine with the granola lovin’ seitan worshippers is a breath of fresh air.
