When one vegetarian captures another on camera, it’s something beautiful.

Such is the example in a new pro-vegetarian ad featuring Zahia Dehar sectioned and marked like the animals that go to market.

Singer, musician and vegetarian Bryan Adams is behind the photography of this provocative piece.

The ad reminds everyone that most mammals have similar regions on their bodies that can be labeled just as the animals eaten by people.

Bryan Adams is set to begin his multi-city tour in India, where it’s a good bet he’ll be enjoying Broccoli from a Tandoor oven.

When asked during an interview what his favorite food was, the vegetarian musician answered, “Vegetable tandoori. Broccoli cooked in a tandoor oven. Incredible!”

Tandoors are cylindrical clay ovens used for cooking in India as well as places in the Middle East and Central Asia.  Traditionally, heat was generated by using a charcoal or wood-burning fire. Now, many Indian restaurants run tandoor ovens on electricity or gas. The oven is used for certain types of Indian foods, such as bread varieties like naan.

Bryan Adams says being sexy is the most important aspect of animal activism.

“Being sexy helps when you’re trying to do anything!” the Canadian rocker told Metro News. “Seriously, that is all PR nonsense,” Adams said of the famous annual PETA lists. “What’s important is getting people involved in helping the cause, so if that is what it takes, fine.”

His good lucks may or may not have helped him in numerous campaigns, including Japanese whale hunting and asking KFC to slaughter chickens in an approve more humane way.

But when it came to distributing postcards at his concerts that urged countries to create a sanctuary for Southern Antarctic Whales, a pretty face only went so far.

“We distributed postcards at my concerts in order to persuade countries supporting the whaling industry to vote yes to the sanctuary. We succeeded and had lots of fun doing it. But in one case, the government of a small Polynesian island wrote back pleading with us not to send anymore postcards, because they couldn’t handle the volume.”

These days Canadian rock star Bryan Adams is a vegan who juices regularly and is into raw foods.

But years ago, when he lived in Vancouver, he would frequent a pizza place called Lombardo’s Pizzeria & Ristorante, where he would order what he called “the best pizza in the world.”

“Bryan Adams lives in London now, but he used to come all the time,” Patti Lombardo says. “He used to come Tuesday or Wednesday evening at about 10 p.m., when there were no crowds to bother him. He’s a vegetarian, so he would get a mushroom pizza. He’d sit there and go, ‘You know what? This is the best pizza in the world.’ ”

Lombardo’s is known for its wood-oven-fired pizza and features several pizzas, calzones, and pasta dishes that are vegetarian on the menu.
