Well…

We certainly know who thinks she’s the “Real Housewife” here.

Bethenny Frankel recently took the opportunity to diss Gwyneth Paltrow’s attempts to demonstrate cooking dishes.

From nydailynews.com:

“I’d rather staple my eyelids shut than watch Gwyneth cook,” the chef told us during the launch of her bottled Skinnygirl Margaritas at the Montauk Yacht Club on Saturday.

She added, “Gwyneth is afraid to [reveal] who she really is – she’s so manhandled by publicists and managers. Her show would be way too boring to watch.”

It’s getting hot in the kitchen!

We have chided Gwyneth so many times for her professing to follow a vegetarian diet, then recommending all sorts of meaty dishes on her Goop.com website.

On the other hand, Bethenny has long been a favorite celebrity chef for including so many vegetarian and vegan recipes in her repertoire.

Neither are vegetarians. But at least Bethenny doesn’t pretend to be. Not to mention she’ll be showing her homemade buns for the animals real soon.

BTW, here’s an example of one of Bethenny’s vegan delights, Low Fat Fudge Chocolate Chip Muffins. Grab the recipe, here!

The ad will debut sometime in the fall and will feature Bethenny standing on top of a famous New York skyscraper.

Although she hasn’t come out as a total vegetarian yet, Bethenny is well known for demonstrating how to make delicious meat-free dishes, like Open Faced Pesto Boca Cheeseburger with soy cheese on sprouted grain bread.

The celebrity natural foods chef even created BethennyBakes™, baked goodies without eggs, wheat, and dairy.

So happy to hear this gal is taking a stance against fur. We’ll keep you posted when the ad comes out!

Bethenny Frankel Ordered To Stop Sending Vegan Cupcakes

The Real Housewives Of New York City Season 2 Premiere Party

New York Magazine recently did a recap of a Real Housewives of New York City episode, a reality TV show on the Bravo network featuring healthy foods chef Bethenny Frankel.

In a classic Siskel & Roeper deal, each housewife got the thumbs up or down, but Bethenny won columnists Chris Rovzar and Jessica Pressler over.

Her vegan baking didn’t, though.

“Bethenny suffered through everyone’s dating advice (“Why does everyone think I’m like Shrek or something?”), behaved through her drinks date with LuAnn, and amazingly, did not visibly dry heave when Alex told her she met Simon when she was trolling online for sex. She was matter-of-fact about her fellow housewives’ shortcomings (“I think that Ramona’s a little competitive with LuAnn”) and kind in that she didn’t reveal the reasons for her non-feelings for the guy from STK on-camera. (We’ll say it for her: He’s not hot enough. There.) Plus, her eye makeup was really well applied. So Bethenny, you won this round. Please don’t send us any more vegan cupcakes, though.

Aw, come on guys. Who doesn’t love a vegan cupcake?

Bethenny’s company, Bethenny Bakes, offers a wide variety of egg and dairy free goodies. Not to mention she’s promoted veggie dips with Pepperidge Farm for the Super Bowl and made videos demonstrating tofu with eggless spread and open faced Boca Burger sandwiches with pesto.

OMG! Don’t watch this while you’re hungry.

Bethenny Frankel showed us how to combine Pepperidge Farm products with hummus for healthier dips for the Super Bowl not long ago, and we dug up a video in the archives of her demonstrating quick and easy vegetarian lunches.

The Real Housewives of New York City star says these are the foods she eats everyday, which include Open Faced Pesto Boca Cheeseburger with soy cheese on sprouted grain bread and Tofu Salad Sandwich with Greens with vegan mayonnaise and Spike Seasoning.

If you aren’t in the kitchen raiding your refrigerator by now, you can watch the video to see how Bethenny demonstrates making these foods before you attempt them.

We featured a post earlier today on “Real Housewives” star Bethenny Frankel teaming up with Pepperage Farm foods to reinvent traditional party dips to healthier versions.

Here’s a video of Bethenny talking about two of the dips, Hummus and Blue Cheese. The secret ingredient to the hummus dip? Soy sauce!

Bethenny Frankel Serves Up Hummus With Pepperidge Farm

15th Annual

Bethenny Frankel, celebrity natural food chef and star of Bravo Network’s, “The Real Housewives of New York City,” has teamed up with Pepperidge Farms to encourage football fanatics to have healthy, wholesome snacks on game day.

Too bad they won’t get to watch the veggie porn ad as well.

Frankel, although not known as a vegetarian, has long been an advocate for healthier eating choices and started Bethenny Bakes, a company that offers egg and dairy free baked goods and custom tailored meals for clients with special diets, such as vegan.

One of the recipes she’s offered for Game Day is a vegan Lemon Basil Hummus Dip served with Pepperidge Farm® Baked Naturals Toasted Wheat Crisps.

It’s great that Bethenny has chosen to make a traditionally vegetarian dish mainstream by suggesting it as Super Bowl grub.

Now maybe more husky, burly men will include chickpeas on the shopping list with Coors beer during the next big sports night.
