Heather Mills Almond Powder Explosion In Airport

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 in Celebrity Tweets, Food & Drink.

The Cold Kiss - Express Black Book Screening Arrivals

Heather Mills experienced an explosion at an airport recently when the almond powder in one of her bags burst from its case, covering her clothes in whiteness.

Through a series of Tweets, Heather explained the situation, which she found funny even if airport officials didn’t.

“hilarious, vegan Almond powder exploded in case over all my clothes, then check in girl insists I lighten my case, I explained explosion occurring inside but she was adamant that i lighten my case, suffice to say, almond powder covered Stanstead airport.”

“Probably cost more to clean up than the 2 kilo overload. Saga continues through the airport but best mate ruth of 22 yrs have seen it all and laugh it off.”

The suspicious powder is not only gluten-free, but serves as an alcohol free alternative to almond extract and goes well as a non-dairy addition in coffee.

It’s also been suggested for use as a topping for oatmeal, fruit and making pie fillings taste like (prepare for horrible pun) da bomb!

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian may have handled her pussy inappropriately, and no, we’re not talking about another sex tape.

Kim posted a photograph of herself holding this gorgeous kitty on Twitter, and as Ecorazzi reports, two different animal rights groups are weighing in on the situation.

PETA is ready to dig its claws in her, according to X17 Online.

“Kim Kardashian isn’t the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn’t needed.”

But unlike Kim, the cat doesn’t appear to be known for its big booty and may not need the support, according to RSPCA.

“But if it’s a larger cat, we’d put the hand under the rump. She’s at least half right.”

Which side do you take?

PETA Serves Veggie Hot Dogs to speak out against National Hot Dog Month in Washington

Jayde Nicole spent the day at Six Flags with her friend Jesse Waits and the two had fun on the skycoaster bungee ride at Magic Mountain theme park.

After the event, Jayde took to Twitter to talk about the experience and tell everyone what she ate for the evening.

“Eating a giant plate of veggies and chugging water! Starting a health kick NOW.. Tips to come daily 🙂 xox”

Jayde’s already a vegetarian, so the Playmate who served veggie hot dogs on Capitol Hill must be getting ready to rid the vegan junk food from her diet.

Good thing Jayde ate the plate of veggies after the ride and not before–vegetables are great steamed, friend, baked and raw, but never regurgitated.

Pink Carey Hart Attend Animal Free Circus

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 in Animal Issues, Celebrity Tweets, Female Singers.

Pink and Corey Hart Enjoy Each Other's Company

Singer Pink and husband Carey Hart spent some quality time together, enjoying themselves and promoting cruelty-free entertainment.

The singer, who’s real name is Alecia Beth Moore, took to Twitter to describe her experience attending an animal free circus.

“Ugggghhh I had the BESTest day with my amazing sexy hubby @hartluck riding around on beach cruisers w feathers in my hat watching the circus (sic),” Pink wrote.

“Not the real circus people. No animals, just people. That look and behave like animals. On acid. Tis’ a colorful world (sic).”

As a longtime vegetarian and animal rights supporter, she’s probably cheering on PETA’s call to shut down the Ringling Brothers.

The animal rights group has accused the circus of abusing its elephants.

The Humane Society has put together a list of circuses, tour productions and entertainers that do not use animals in any of their shows.

Check it out and enjoy some human tricks the next time one rolls into your town.

International CTIA Wireless Show Held In Las Vegas

Twitter Co-Founders Biz Stone and Evan Williams announced a side project for Twitter last year–making wine.

The company is making both California Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir under the wine label “Fledgling” and donating the proceeds to Room To Read, a non-profit organization supporting literacy programs around the world.

Having a drink with a fellow vegetarian like Biz would be the greatest pleasure, especially considering he’s already done his research on how to stay vegan and tipsy.

Biz told Winespectator:

“You can find wines that are not filtered through isinglass [or egg whites]. One of our board members recently had us over for dinner and selected wines that were all vegan. That was thoughtful … We’ve been to Spain a bunch of times. We have a lot of fun getting tapas in a veggie format. This past New Year’s Eve, we decided to stay home because I’d done so much traveling. We made a bunch of tapas and drank cava.”

Don’t forget to check your favorite wine against the vegan friendly wine list and follow the progress of Twitter’s Fledgling wine label @fledgling.
