“Well, people have been telling me for years: “You’ve got to do a cookbook,” because they know how much I love to cook and spend time in the kitchen and cook up tasty meals without a lot of extravagant affair. But, it was a hard thing because I’ve had a bunch of other people asking for years about a running book. So it was like, how can I combine the two of them, and give something for everyone?”

Bryan talked with IGN on how some big wigs in the wrestling industry, including promoter Vince McMahon doubted anyone would ever believe him.

The June 2012 issue of Vegetarian Times features two athletes who power their Olympic training sessions with plant-based meals.

Mary Whipple is a champion coxswain who’s scored both a Gold and Silver medal in previous Olympic games. Dotsie Bausch is a seven-time U.S. National bike racer who says, “It makes no sense to me that anything would have to undergo one second of suffering so that I could enjoy it.”

The Olympic team hopefuls shared a pre and post workout snack they might enjoy as part of preparing for the July 2012 games.

Eat & Run Scott Jurek

Scott Jurek‘s latest book, Eat and Run, is scheduled for release in June.

The vegan athlete who’s set records in ultra-distance runs like the Western States Endurance Run, a 100-mile course over the old Gold Rush trails of the California Sierra Nevada; the Badwater Ultramarathon, a 135-mile path through Death Valley and the 153-mile Spartathlon in Greece.

He accomplished this all on a plant-based diet.
