Tim Gunn is not going to be happy about this.

Project Runway finalist Kenley Collins has reportedly used her cat as a weapon by throwing the animal at her sleeping fiancé’s head.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “cat fight.”

Police have now charged her with assault and criminal possession of a deadly weapon.

After throwing the cat, Collins threw a laptop and three apples (wow, at least she was throwing produce and not meat) at Zak Penley.

After being released without bail, Collins told the New York Post it was a “miscommunication,” and that “Fights happen, And that’s that. There is no case.”

Um, yeah fights happen, but when cats are being hurled across the room, it’s more than a little miscommunication.

Unless the miscommunication involved Collins hearing the cat say, “Punt me,” this is animal cruelty.

Ironically, Collins and Penley, an artist and musician, created a song called “CAT?” for her Project Runway finale.

We thought we’d add our creative efforts to it. How about “CAT?: Why I Shouldn’t Own One.”

Michelle Obama Breaks Ground For White House Vegetable Garden

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, March 20th, 2009 in Food & Drink, Gardening, Politicians.

Michelle Obama Launches First White House Vegetable Garden World War II

Michelle Obama began digging the dirt on the White House South lawn today to make way for an organic vegetable garden.

In keeping with Barack’s preference, there won’t be any beets in there, but arugula will have its place, along with several other plants that the First Family will use to feed themselves and guests.

Michelle brought along her shovel and 23 fifth graders from Bancroft Elementary School in the district to help her do the job.

We must say the First Lady looks a little over dressed for getting dirty time. But it must be her style to always look fashionable.

The garden is the first to be planted since Eleanor Roosevelt did so during World War II.

“There’s nothing really cooler than coming to the White House and harvesting some of the vegetables and being in the kitchen with Cris and Sam and Bill, and cutting and cooking and actually experiencing the joys of your work,” Michelle said, according to the New York Times.

“I wanted to be able to bring what I learned to a broader base of people. And what better way to do it than to plant a vegetable garden in the South Lawn of the White House?”

Nothing cooler, indeed.

Anne Hathaway Goes Beyond Skin For Vegan Shoes

Valentino: The Last Emperor New York Premiere - Arrivals

An affordable, ethical, vegan shoe? Get outta here!

Yes you can have your feet and vegan too with Beyond Skin, a company that specializes in completely leather-free, PVC-free (so eco-friendly too),  shoes at a price for which you won’t fork over an entire paycheck.

Vegetarian and vegan celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Chrissie Hynde, Emily Deschanel, Leona Lewis, and Natalie Portman have all found these to be suitable for their star-likeness, so you know you’ll be walking around in class.

A representative from Beyond Skin, Natalie, recently spoke to GirlieGirlArmy about the line.

Do you ever get tired of explaining why you create non-leather shoes?
We don’t always hammer home the fact we are a leather-free label, as we have found that it tends to turn non vegetarians off before you have even introduced them to the product.  We prefer to approach our sales with the aesthetic of the product first and the leather and cruelty-free element comes later.  It is however, incredibly important to open dialogue about why we do not use certain materials and educate people on the impact and the how’s and why’s.  Plus most importantly we are passionate about it which often has an important affect when people witness the sincerity of what we are saying.

What is your personal favorite shoe you have ever designed?  Why?
One of my personal favourites from our line is the Cherub shoe.  It is comfortable, quirky and has a retro feel with a contemporary shape.  I have them in red faux felt and everyone always asked about them whenever I trot about in them.

Bridgitte Bardot Travels to Romania to Save Street Dogs

Not long ago, we brought you the wonderful news that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had banned hunting baby seals and was looking for a complete ban on all seal hunting.

Now animal rights activist and sex symbol of the 50s through 70s Brigitte Bardot is praising him as well.

“I really want to thank you and congratulate you for your willingness to denounce the hunting of young seals that you rightly call a bloody practice,” Bardot wrote in a letter to Putin, a copy of which was obtained by AFP.

“Mr Prime Minister, you who remain the president of my heart, I want to thank you very sincerely for hearing my call.”

The letter was sent the day after Putin called for the ban of hunting seals under one year of age.
