Mayim Bialik has announced she’s publishing her own vegan cookbook.

The book will contain traditional Jewish recipes where she has converted any animal products into plant-based ones.

The actress wrote about her upcoming book on her blog:

“My next book will be a plant-based (vegan!) family cookbook. Yay! It’s meant for vegan and non-vegan alike! I intend to include all of the Jewish recipes I’ve veganized as well as all of our family’s standard beloved recipes.”

Chef Roble Ali entertains and satisfies the most eclectic appetites on his Bravo television series Chef Roble & Co., where he works with his New York upscale clients to create a catered event equivalent to that of the stars.

Natalie Coughlin, USA Olympic swimmer who follows a mostly plant-based diet, enjoys making a Moroccan spread that is very similar to hummus with chickpeas or garbanzo beans.

“I love fava beans. I really like making a hummus with fava beans, and that’s actually one of the things I grow in my garden. I love eating the leaves and the beans.”

White House Recipe Winner Demonstrates Winning Lentil Soup (Video)

Lahav Ardi, one of the winners in the White House’s Healthy Lunch Contest, stopped by Salt Lake City’s ABC4 to demonstrate his winning recipe, Lentil Veggie Soup, and give a few pointers about cooking.

“The smaller they’re cut, the quicker they cook,” Ardi said about cooking potatoes in the stew. He also gave a tip for cutting vegetables without cutting off your fingers.

Move over Rachael Ray, please give this little guy his own Food Network show.

Michelle Obama has announced the winners in the White House’s Healthy Lunch Contest. The champion chefs will be invited to a kids’ “state dinner” where some of the lnches will be served.

The winning list is very vegetarian friendly, with some vegan options, such as the Vegan Sloppy Joes and Kale Salad. There’s even a winning tofu recipe.
