Amy Ferguson was asked at the Toronto Film Festival what the last favor she asked someone was.

“Three days ago I asked Woody Harrelson to come to the World Peace Yoga Conference,” Ferguson answered, according to InStyle magazine.

Since Woody is one of Hollywood’s prime yoga boys, he must have at least seriously considered.

The World Peace Yoga Conference takes places in Loveland, Ohio in the greater Cinncinati area from October 23 through October 25.

This event is for more than just those who enjoy the pretzel positions.

The conference brings together a love for the environment, food and animal activism.

Delicious vegan food will be served while you have the chance to hear noted vegan authors and speakers discuss foodie topics such as cooking and gardening.

You may also take advantage of the environmental classes to learn how you can help fight global warming and poverty.

David Life, co founder of the popular Jivamukti Yoga School and Cafe said:

“Care enough about the world to become peace-filled in Love-land! The World Peace Yoga Conference is the best idea of the millennium. This is an opportunity for all of us to show that we care enough about world peace to take the first step ourselves. Yoga means “you do it!” You don’t wait for someone else to be compassionate, you do it. You don’t wait for someone else to create peace, you create it- find out how, by attending the World Peace Yoga Conference.”

Registration ends on October 16, so reserve your spot now at worldpeaceyogaconference.com.

“Suck” Vampire Flick Premiers At Toronto Film Festival

Suck

Suck recently premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

It’s a vampire horror comedy featuring stars like Moby, Alice Cooper, and Iggy Pop.

A rock band wishes to become famous and gets a chance to do so after meeting a vampire-and gets more than a record deal in the package.

“It’s sort of like an exaggerated rock & roll world,” says director and writer Rob Stefaniuk. “I’ve seen a lot of rock & roll movies, but what I wanted to do differently is make it less of a cinéma vé?rité — this is what it feels like to be in a real band, and yet I didn’t want to do a parody of a bunch of guys that go ‘Yeah dude’ and a big roadie. I wanted it to feel real, so you’re not in a band with a bunch of druggie people; you’re in a band with a bunch of vampires.”

The movie, as expected, features lots of blood and guts, and latex rubber “meat” was created to throw at vegan Moby, who plays “Beef Ballow,” lead singer for the band Secretaries of Steak.

Great idea these guys used fake meat-unlike that horrible meat tree from True Blood, so Moby wouldn’t hurl blood from disgust.
