Michelle Pfeiffer is gracing the cover of the October 2013 issue of Ladies Home Journal.

Looking better than ever, the 55-year old actress partially credits her looks her good fortune to the vegan diet she currently follows, but she hasn’t always been a model for good eating.

Contrast her plant-based diet to the one she ate in her 20s, for example.

Michelle Pfeifer was a guest on Piers Morgan Tonight where she discussed her motivation for adopting a vegan diet.

According to some sources, Pfeiffer once tried vegetarianism, then abandoned it.

Learning about Bill Clinton‘s health transformation after he gave up animal products inspired her.

“OK, Bill Clinton loves food, so there must be something to [veganism] that’s making him stick to it. And also, he’s smart, so he’s not going to do something unless he really thinks there’s some science behind it,” Pfeiffer said.
