Quantcast Vegetarian Star“Lost”

Michelle Rodriguez

Avatar and Lost actress Michelle Rodriguez will be joining Sea Shepherd on an anti-whaling voyage in the future. Rodriguez made the announcement at the organization’s “Sea No Evil” fundraiser.

“I’m going to go on the next voyage,” she said. “So you guys are actually helping to support the next team to go out to Antarctica and bust their asses on that ship, trying to save some whales. So, I’m going to be one of those people on board.”

The actual length of time she’ll spend on the voyage is unknown, and as Ecorazzi points out, Daryl Hannah‘s trip was reduced significantly because the actress had a conflict. According to Rodriguez’s Internet Movie Database profile, she’s known for her “tough girl” roles in films. Her stint with Sea Shepherd may be her biggest kick butt part ever.

Rodriguez can be seen at the Sea No Evil event making her announcement below:

Lost star Jorje Garcia is saddened by the recent lost of his pet chihuahua.

While the two were at the airport, Nunn died in his arms after she was struck by a car. The actor took to his blog to relay the news.

“It breaks my heart to tell you that yesterday as we were preparing to all go to the airport Nunu was struck by a car as she crossed the street. She died in my arms.”

“We are buying her in the Pet Gardens at Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe. Nunu hated the water so we couldn’t bring ourselves to having her ashes scattered in the ocean. Three months from now you’ll be able to find a bronze plaque inscribed with just her name there. If you’d like to leave a flower or a toy, I’m sure she’d love it.”

“Lost” Rebecca Mader Returns The Room Service Chicken

2009 Unicef Ball

Is Lost actress Rebecca Mader thinking of going vegetarian?

After watching Food Inc., the actress tells Mother Nature Network she found it hard to eat chicken.

“I had just ordered chicken from room service and I couldn’t eat it,” she said, adding that the movie “really changed the way I look at food. With corn syrup being in everything, I’m starting to look at packages and trying to eat more basic, real food.”

Chances of Rebecca giving up animals for food are good, given the fact she was never a Big Mac five times a week gal anyway.

“I was never really a big meat eater and since seeing Food, Inc. I haven’t eaten out very much at all. And if I have it’s been in organic restaurants.”

“They are marshmallows. Or at least marshmallow-like treats.”

“And they claim to be “vegan.” But how can you really tell?”

“Because if you look at this symbol, it seems like they don’t quite understand what “vegan” means.”

“100% vegan. And now with real rabbit.”

—-Lost actor Jorge Garcia, on the irony of how a symbol for a vegan product is an animal. Apparently, the maker of the product, Sweet and Sara, had a rabbit for a childhood pet named Skipper. The bunny logo serves as a symbol that no animals were harmed in the production (ingredients or byproducts) of the marshmallows.
