“Once you fully understand it then you see that everything is replaceable and that’s why I created a virtual replication of McDonald’s. If my daughter wants to have a burger and chips, she can have it. It’s just the chips are oven-baked and the burger is meat-free, but tastes like a burger. Everything is replaceable. If she wants a cake, she can have a cake. If she wants ice cream, she can have ice cream.”

Heather Mills, in an interview with Birmingham Post, on how a vegan/vegetarian diet doesn’t mean giving up traditional foods, just replacing with with ones made from plant based ingredients. Heather has replaced many animal products in her line of Redwood Wholefood faux meat and cheeses.

Heather Mills Almond Powder Explosion In Airport

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 in Celebrity Tweets, Food & Drink.

The Cold Kiss - Express Black Book Screening Arrivals

Heather Mills experienced an explosion at an airport recently when the almond powder in one of her bags burst from its case, covering her clothes in whiteness.

Through a series of Tweets, Heather explained the situation, which she found funny even if airport officials didn’t.

“hilarious, vegan Almond powder exploded in case over all my clothes, then check in girl insists I lighten my case, I explained explosion occurring inside but she was adamant that i lighten my case, suffice to say, almond powder covered Stanstead airport.”

“Probably cost more to clean up than the 2 kilo overload. Saga continues through the airport but best mate ruth of 22 yrs have seen it all and laugh it off.”

The suspicious powder is not only gluten-free, but serves as an alcohol free alternative to almond extract and goes well as a non-dairy addition in coffee.

It’s also been suggested for use as a topping for oatmeal, fruit and making pie fillings taste like (prepare for horrible pun) da bomb!

Heather Mills Wants Anti-Veg Gordon Ramsay On Disability Show

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 in Food & Drink, Reality TV.

National Television Awards 2010 - Arrivals

Heather Mills may have been booted from Dancing On Ice, but her reality TV career is far from over.

The vegan chef and entrepreneur has announced she’d like a reality TV show where celebrities experience living with disabilities, according to The Telegraph.

And she already has one person in mind for the cast lineup–the famous “There’s no bigger pain in the world than a vegetarian” Gordon Ramsay.

“If it’s Gordon Ramsay, shove him in a kitchen and see if he can cook for the restaurant if he’s blindfolded, and have him live like that for a week,” Heather said.

Oh, no. Hope Gordon doesn’t catch on fire cooking any numerous animals like chicken, lamb or even puffin.

Better yet, blindfold Gordon, make him cook for a week, then feed him fake versions of real meat to see if he notices a difference.

Once he’s exposed on television for loving the taste of faux chicken, beef and pork, he’ll be banned from making another rude, anti-vegetarian remark again.
