Paris Hilton Will Punch Dog Fighters In The Face (Video)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, May 17th, 2010 in Animal Issues, Videos.

Is Paris Hilton to an animal rights activist as a prostitute is to recruiting nuns?

The hotel heiress was recently on a Dr. Phil episode about animals, sharing the story of two Cocker Spaniels who sadly are in need of a new home after their owner did not awake from surgery.

Although criticized by some activists for carrying too many hand bag breeds and in general, owning too many dogs, Hilton was honored by the Humane Society of the United States for her work with animal welfare.

And if she takes off those heels and trades the dress for spandex, she can throw a punch to that dog fighter Dr. Phil confronted.

“I kinda want to punch him in the face,” she says in the clip. “I think it’s disgusting and it’s wrong I don’t know how anyone can hurt an animal. I think people who do that are very sick in the head.”

Dr. Phil Confronts Dog Fighter On Show

Dr. Phil All Smiles After Letterman Taping!

Dr. Phil recently confronted a man on his show who was convicted of a felony for his involvement with dog fighting.

Apparently, applying the stick of justice did nothing to change this man’s views, as he still believes dog fighting is not a crime and is no different from “football or boxing.”

Hmm…Well, if you don’t count the fact that people play the above sports, not animals.

And they’re usually consenting to this and are aware of the risks.

Plus, football or boxing doesn’t involve fighting to death…then sure, no difference at all!

Dr. Phil isn’t too happy about the Supreme Court decision to strike down a law making the sale of certain videos involving animal cruelty illegal, either.

He posted to his blog:

“I was sick to my stomach. Dogfighting is illegal in this country but selling a dog-fighting video isn’t? We’re seriously going to let people profit from their films of pets being abused? Is there anyone out there who thinks that is even close to being the right thing to do?”

The Humane Society of the United States statistics show there are about 40,000 dog fighters in the United States who call themselves “professional.”

Unlike the rest of the country, these professionals need to experience a permanent recession!

Dr. Phil McGraw Army Meal Prompts Vegetarian Questions

GOLF 2010 - Bob Hope Classic PGA

Dr. Phil gave both some food voyeurism into one of his latest meals as well as some advice about repelling mosquitoes in a recent Tweet.

The food sounds great, but the anti bug biting advice…not so great.

“Jordan chks in: About to dine on a veggie lasagna MRE. Ate two match heads Army guys say sulfur keeps Mosquitos off of u.”

According to Backpacker magazine, the advice about eating match heads should be taken out by a grenade:

“It’s a myth. Matches contain poisonous chemicals in addition to sulfur. Save them for cooking dinner and not your intestines.”

Yikes!

But those vegetarian MREs made especially for the troops sound delish!

What are the options for a vegetarian defending his or her country?

The Epic Center showcases a variety of ready to eat meals the United States military provides to their service members and at a glance, the variety is impressive.

Veggie burgers, vegetable lasagna, vegetarian chili with beans and veggie crumbles over pasta with marinara sauce.

Beans, cheese and faux meat will satisfy some, but where’s the tofu, fruit and soy milk?

And are any of these entrees vegan for our egg and dairy free soldiers?

Still waiting for Dr. Phil to update his Twitter about the taste.

Yes, indeed he did go there.

On one of his recent shows, Dr. Phil McGraw was introducing his latest Jerry Springer couple dilemma where the two had grown apart.

What potential irreconcilable differences exist? Well, one’s a darn vegan for goodness sakes!

From Vegdaily.com:

“As Mr. Oprah was welcoming the couple he finished the dramatic intro by saying, ” … and now he’s an angry atheist and vegan. (pause) Do those two go together?””

If we wanted to play Dr. Phil, we could analyze this for deeper meaning. Are vegans angry? Margaret Cho thinks so.

Yeah, nothing like sticking the tofu to your spouse to ruin the relationship.
