Quantcast Vegetarian StarDavid Beckham

48358, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - Thursday December 9 2010. PETA protesters grab publicity for their cause during the Lady Gaga Waxwork unveiling in London. The girls, who were dressed in outfits made of cabbage leaves, took the opportunity to gain publicity outside the Gaga event and hand out vegetarian sausages. Gaga’s wax image joins the collection of several famous people including David Beckham, Britney Spears, Prince Charles and Barack Obama. A sharp contrast from Gaga’s meat dress that got media attention months ago, the women in cabbage outfits were probably a little chilly, since most people don’t wear hats, scarves and mittens with bikini tops. British soccer star David Beckham sits court side to watch the Los Angeles Lakers play the Utah Jazz during Game 2 of their NBA Western Conference semi-final playoff series in Los Angeles

David Beckham and wife Posh Spice have been spotted shopping for produce!

According to the Daily Mail, a source told Showbiz Spy that David has been taking cooking lesson and making more home made meals for the children.

“He has been showing the boys how to make simple pasta dishes and they’ve all had a great time together in the kitchen,” the source said.

Sure hope David is buying organic vegetables to go with the whole wheat penne, as a new study shows children who eat non organic produce with common pesticides may be at greater risk of ADHD.

The study published in Pediatrics had researchers from the University of Montreal and Harvard evaluate 1,139 children, ages 8 to 15, for key compounds found in common pesticides, including the commonly used compound malathion.

ADHD rates were doubled among kids with higher than average levels of malathion.

The scary part is that the link between pesticides and ADHD seems quite plausible, given the fact the compounds are designed to damage the neural pathways of insects by interfering with brain chemicals and ADHD in humans has been linked to problems with those same brain chemicals.

The Beckhams may be onto something though.

Pictures at The Daily Mail show them hanging out near the organic spice section.

HOLLAND V ENGLAND, INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

Strange events occur in the Beckham’s kitchen.

Victoria Beckham, has claimed to be a vegetarian who still cooks meat for her husband and kids.

“The only thing I can cook really is mince meat, which is ironic because I’m a vegetarian.”

Now, we’re learning that David is helping with the domestic chores as well-which include making one of Victoria’s favorite dishes of prawns.

According to splashnewsonline.celebuzz.com, David says:

“My signature dish for Victoria is grilled prawns or lobster and fresh vegetables.”

Unless Mrs. Posh Spice likes to look at the dead grilled prawns while eating her meatless pasta, she ain’t exactly vegetarian.

And after learning of all the half-assed vegetarian celebrities, we have little hope Victoria munches on Vegan King Prawns.

Sigh…

Another star who needs a vocabulary lesson.

It’s pescatarian, Victoria.

Foxnews.com has compiled a list of celebrities who have proven to be less than green on some occasions. A couple of vegheads made the hall of shame.

Like Woody Harrelson, for example. The actor who swears by the solar panel had an attachment to some clothing worst than Linus and his blanket. He had his favorite vegan shoes and belt flown from his California home to the Cannes Film Festival in France. Yeah, that’s so eco-friendly. NOT.

Then there’s our man Paul McCartney. If you think it’s fuel inefficient to fly shoes and a belt, think about carrying a car through the friendly skies.

“He even bought a hybrid vehicle to cut down on his personal footprint. But the ex-Beatle made just one minor misstep. He had the car specially flown from Japan, creating more emissions with one flight than the car will ever save in its lifetime. Nice try, Paul.”

But at least these guys have offset their eco-sins with a veg diet. The remaining celebrities on the hall of shame can’t take that credit.

Visit Foxnews.com to read about the eco-sins of Celine Dion, John Travolta, Elizabeth Hurley, David Beckham, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tom Cruise.

Victoria Beckham Thinks Fake Fur Is The Posh Spice

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 in Female Musicians, Female Singers, Fur.

Reception For Sir Elton John And David Furnish

So what if she can’t cook vegetarian? Victoria Beckham is doing her part by taking a stand against fur.

The Posh Spice is often seen around the town with hubby David in what looks to be fur, but according to a source, when it comes to these types of fashions, Victoria’s a complete phony.

“Victoria never wears real fur,” the source said. “Lots of her designer friends now make faux fur jackets.”

She’s recently launched a custom fitted clothing range and has pledged not to use real fur in her fashions. This of course, is a stark contrast to another celebrity British female, nicknamed in some gossip blogs as “Liz Furley,” who teamed up with U.S. fur company Blackglama.

So we’ll try to lay off Victoria for her chef limitations. Anyone can learn to cook. Taking a moral stance shows true genius.

Moet & Chandon at Marc Jacobs Fall 2008

Ewww! If you’re a vegetarian or vegan and your spouse isn’t, would you still cook meat for them? Victoria Beckham doesn’t have a problem with that. But then again, it’s really the only thing this vegetarian knows how to cook. In an interview, she said:

“The only thing I can cook really is mince meat, which is ironic because I’m a vegetarian. But I like calzone and lasagna. I cooked every day in Spain so David and the boys lived off minced meat for four years. I cook a Sunday dinner every single Sunday I’ll have you know. My kids like Yorkshire pudding so I make that, I can make it from scratch and I make Dora the Explorer cakes for afters because the kids love them.”

Cookbook suggestions for our favorite Spice, anyone?
