If you thought you saw a slimmer, sexier looking former president of the United States from the photos of Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding, you’re right.

Sources say Bill Clinton had a goal of losing 15 pounds before his daughter’s wedding, but exceeded it by losing 23 by following a vegetarian diet.

“She doesn’t think I’m in shape,” Clinton said about Chelsea in April. “You know she told me the other day she said, ‘Dad the only thing you gotta do is walk me down the aisle and you gotta look good.’ So I said, ‘Well, what’s your definition?’ And she said, ‘Oh, about 15 pounds.’ So I’m about halfway home.”

Wonder if Chelsea shared some favorite recipes to help dad lose some of his tire like Thai-Spice Sweet Potato Soup with Gingered Bok Choy.

In addition to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food, Chelsea Clinton insisted on organic flowers for her wedding this past weekend to Marc Mezvinsky.

Florist Jeff Leatham told US Magazine, “It was very important [to Chelsea] to keep it organic and natural…The theme, floral wise, was organic, clean, simple and elegant.”

The happy couple and their guests may have breathed easier without many traditional pesticides and fungicides that are banned in North America for being carcinogenic and causing multiple health problems like nausea, neurological and reproductive problems in workers tending to the plants.

More catering info has been leaked about Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding tomorrow.

The New York Daily News is reporting Laura Pensiero is one of the high profile chefs schedule to create dishes suitable for a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu.

Pensiero, one of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite chefs, owns Gigi Hudson Valley, which consists of Gigi Trattoria restaurant, Gigi Market & Cafe and Gigi Catering.

The restaurant boasts a menu of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items, which is most important for the bride-to-be, as she’s a vegan with a gluten allergy.

More details on the Chelsea Clinton and lifelong friend Marc Mezvinsky wedding are being leaked as the July 31st wedding date approaches.

It’s already been reported that the reception menu will contain vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items. Now it’s been discovered that not only is Chelsea vegan, she is allergic to gluten and also follows a gluten-free diet, and the cake will be made with such specifications.

Gluten, the protein found in wheat, barley and rye causes small intestine damage to those with a sensitivity to it and prevents them from absorbing nutrients. Common alternatives include oats, millet, rice and items labelled “gluten-free,” but according to a new survey, there are many products claiming to be gluten-free that have been tested and contain contaminants.
