More catering info has been leaked about Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding tomorrow.
The New York Daily News is reporting Laura Pensiero is one of the high profile chefs schedule to create dishes suitable for a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu.
Pensiero, one of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite chefs, owns Gigi Hudson Valley, which consists of Gigi Trattoria restaurant, Gigi Market & Cafe and Gigi Catering.
Trattoria is said to be the first restaurant in the Hudson Valley area of New York that sources most of its ingredients from local growers.
Keeping in the theme of local, the Gigi Market & Cafe is an indoor farmers market and cafe located on a 500 acre farm in Red Hook and opened in 2006. The Gigi Market cafe has a small menu featuring salads, soups, sandwiches, pizza and “skizza,” a uniquely branded Gigi thin crust pizza.
Pensiero has served as a consultant for various food, nutrition and health causes and is the author of two cookbooks, has made contributions to dozens of other books and is a frequent contributor to food and health magazines like Real Simple and Prevention.
