By referring to a soup’s category, it’s easy to swap ingredients to create dozens of soups from one basic recipe, something Bittman demonstrates in his New York Times column.

All are vegetarian. Most are vegan. All look incredibly delicious from the photographs.

Robin Quivers has successfully complete season one of her web-based vegan cooking show, Vegucating Robin.

Health foodies will tell you nature’s fruits are the best dessert, but Quivers and her co-host Gavan Murphy prove even mother nature can be improved upon as they demonstrate making Prosecco-poached pears.

Sweet fruit is bathed in orange juice, wine and garnished with cinnamon, chocolate and fresh mint.

Rachael Ray

Rachael Ray‘s 5th annual Burger Bash at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival took place last week and the only three words we can say are “Too Much Cow.”

Thank goodness Ray is vegetarian friendly and often includes veg recipes on her Food Network shows.

Her vegetarian chickpea burger is one such meat-free recipe, but this chef realizes that although nothing beats a handmade veggie burger where you can witness the culmination of oats, beans, veggies and other plant goodies come together, sometimes it’s nice to have a frozen or otherwise prepared patty to nuke in the microwave.

That’s why she conducted the veggie burger taste test. You could call it the sans animal flesh version of her burger bash.

Cookin' With Coolio

Gangsta’s Paradise went gourmet when Coolio released a cookbook in 2009 titled, “Cookin’ With Coolio: 5 Star Meals At A 1 Star Price.”

Coolio’s book happens to have an entire chapter devoted to vegetarians as well as one titled “Salad Eatin-Bitches” for those that aren’t interested in “Pimpin’ the Poultry.”

If you’re still trying to contain your laughter, you should also know this book received an average of 4.5/5 stars by reviewers on Amazon who also had pleasant things to say about how well the book actually teaches cooking skills, something also illustrated in Coolio’s web-based cooking show, “Cooking With Coolio.”
