Actress Jorja Fox took a break from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2007, but she’ll be back for a few special episodes this fall. (Pause for fans cheering and screaming.) A quote from the vegetarian of 20 years about vegetarianism and the environment at the Animal Acres Farm Sanctuary Gala:

“I’ve been a vegetarian for a very long time, and this place, I think, exemplifies so many ways the microcosm of the macrocosm of the microcosm. If you can spend a little time with these creatures, you can connect them again to animals that you love, which I think helps everybody remember the importance of treating them humanely and with dignity. These are, you know, the lucky animals that have fallen off the backs of trucks and stuff. If you want to help the environment, go vegetarian.”

Conor Oberst Makes Confessions Over Veggie Burger

Conor Oberst has been a busy man, musically. Although he may be best known for his work with the group Bright Eyes, he’s also been involved with Desaparecidos, Norman Bailer, Commander Venus, Park Ave., and Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band. He performed in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska for an Obama rally earlier this year.

He’s been vegetarian, vegan, and even a pescetarian (vegetarian who eats fish) and was involved with PETA. Here’s a video, if you’re interested.

He sat down to talk to a journalist while grabbing a bite of a veggie burger and explained that while his songs have been called “confessional,” he tells not only his business but everybody else’s as well. Yikes! Remind us not to tell him anything too personal.

“I’ll always draw from my experiences because that’s the material that’s most readily available. But I don’t make any bones about drawing from other people’s experiences. Also, when I write a song, the pronoun is really not important. I’ll even forget sometimes and sing the wrong pronoun, whether it’s she or he or it or I or you. Because they’re all interchangeable. It’s what comes after that, the rest of the line – that’s where the truth is going to be.”

ICP Presents The 24th Annual Infinity Awards - Inside

Award winning actress, director, and producer Diane Keaton made her film debut in the 70s as Kay Adams in The Godfather and she’s been making us laugh for decades with her roles in movies such as Father of The Bride, The First Wives Club, and Something’s Gotta Give. In the past 3 years, she’s also gotten on the blogging bandwagon and contributed to The Huffington Post.

Although she’s a a vegetarian, she’s not making her two children, Duke and Dexter, go that route.

“No, no. I’m not doing that to them,” she told Parade Magazine. “I’m sure, once they grow up, they’ll be going, “What an eccentric human being, this mother of ours.”

While we were hoping she’d keep it all in the family, who knows? Maybe they’ll take after mom once they become adults. It may be for the best. We already saw the tragedy of how Aisha Tyler rebelled when mom and dad packed her tofu for lunch.
