Vegetarian Star

Pamela Anderson is preaching the vegetarian news Jehovah Witness style. She sent Jessica Simpson, who she called a “b#$ch” and a “wh#$e” for wearing a “Real Girls Eat Meat” t-shirt, a vegetarian starter kit, complete with printed material from PETA.

“I sent her some information and I sent her a letter from PETA saying how the meat industry is horrible for the environment, horrible for your health and sent her some information about it,” said former Baywatch babe. “I don’t know what her intentions were but she definitely wanted to be photographed in that T-shirt and I thought, you know, put a smarter T-shirt on.”

Could Pamela Anderson be showing up at your doorstep with pamphlets and magazines preaching the veggie news? If so, we are curious as to how many men she can convert with her door to door methods.

On any given Sunday, there’s a good chance you’ll find Bones star Emily Deschanel at the local farmer’s market in Hollywood. For some reason, “farmer’s market” and “Hollywood” almost sound like the two could never be combined, but thankfully, Deschanel proves this to be wrong.

A vegan for about 15 years, she let USA Today’s William Keck follow her around (is that approved stalking?) while she picked avocado and other goodies.

One of her favorite spots is the veggie soul food stand, where she ordered vegetarian pot roast, greens, cornbread and black-eyed peas. Although her current day job is an actress, she also considers herself a good chef: 

“I make a good guacamole, if I do say so myself.”

Forest Whitaker will be taking part in the Stand Up To Cancer telethon this September 5th, 2008, along with other stars, including fellow veggie actor Casey Affleck, America Ferrera, David Cook, Meryl Streep, Scarlett Johansson, and Kirsten Dunst. We’ve heard being vegetarian might help prevent some kinds of cancer. Here’s an older video of him and his very young daughter discussing their vegness.
