Vegetarian Star

A congressman celebrated his 46th birthday in style.

Ted Deutch, D-Boca Raton, hosted a dinner party in honor of growing older at Florida’s Sublime restaurant, a completely vegetarian eatery.

Sources say the politician and friends dined on Sicilian grilled vegetables, veggie burgers, Thai pizza, enchiladas, ravioli, quiche and chocolate nirvana cake.

The Sun-Sentinel said wrote, “It’s a good thing he’s in a safely liberal, Democratic district in Broward and Palm Beach counties. If he had more tea party constituents, they’d probably prefer he celebrate by eating red meat.”

Or, he’d, like a former Republican Montana  governor did, celebrate with veggies and then deny ever contemplating such a sin.

Alec Baldwin was spotted in one of sunny Florida’s premiere vegetarian restaurants in Ft. Lauderfale, Sublime.

Baldwin was in town to film his new movie Rock of Ages.

The actor was so excited about his meal at Sublime, he took a moment to Tweet about the experience, calling it the “Le Bernardin of vegan dining.”

Tal Ronnen, author of The Conscious Cook, and celebrity chef who’s catered many star events, including for the Humane Society and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s wedding, will be at the Sublime vegetarian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 16 to prepare a four course vegan feast and sign copies of his cookbook.

Seating will be available from 6:00PM-9:30 PM and the cost is $79 per person. If you’re wondering if that price is worth it, just take a look at the mouth watering extensive menu, which is completely vegan.
