Heather Mills has bought the vegetarian food supplier Redwood Wholefood Company.

The UK based company is the leading supplier of veg foods and has ranked high with the Ethical Company Organisation’s list of vegetarian foods suppliers for three years in a row, with a score of 95%.

Redwood produces over 50 different types of vegetarian foods under several brands, including Cheatin’, VegiDeli and Cheezly.

Director Keith Scott said this about Heather’s recent acquisition:

“We are delighted that the business has been acquired by someone with the dynamism and passion of Heather. We’ve been approached by many large food manufacturers in the past but have never wanted to jeopardise the future of our employees – who we value so much – or our factory by selling the business to a large corporation. By selling to Heather we are protecting our loyal staff and also our base in Corby.”

“Heather shares the same values and aims as us, namely to spread compassion across the planet and promote a healthy and more ethical lifestyle,” Rob Garland, an additional director for the company said.

“Heather has always rated Redwood as the best producer of plant-based animal-free foods in terms of ethics, the integrity of the company and brand and the quality of its products.”

Okay, so you’re out with friends and everybody’s hungry, but you’ve been trying to figure out where to eat for the past 1/2 hour because you can’t agree on one place.

You want Chinese, your sig other wants Italian, your best friends wants Greek…arghhhh!

Heather Mills has recognized this issue and plans to put at least two dishes from various International cuisine types to make groups of people like you and your friends happy.

“And the evening menu will include two Thai dishes, and two Indian dishes, and two Italian dishes, and so on; because you know what it’s like when you want to go out for dinner with your friends, and one of them wants Italian, and one of them wants Thai, and you want Indian … well, that won’t be a problem here, will it?” Heather said, in an interview with the UK Guardian about her new vegan restaurant, V Bites.

Problem solved for where to eat. You can even plan ahead by reading the V Bites menu before you go.

Now, if Heather can resolve the argument of paying separately or paying with one check.

Heather Mills’ V Bites Faux Meats And Cheeses Available Online

Written by Vegetarian Star on Saturday, July 11th, 2009 in Business, Chefs, Food & Drink.

Heather Mills Launches V-Bites Restaurant

Heather Mills is offering some of her vegan meals she serves at her V Bites restaurant in frozen entrees to eat at home.

But there’s a catch.

Your doorstep must be within mainland UK.

There’s no 30 minutes or less guarantee either.

Green gossip site Ecorazzi.com speculated this might be Heather’s frozen line of vegan meals she’s been talking about for some time. But other sources says those are expected to be named Mighty Meatless Meals in Minutes, so perhaps Heather’s just making some of her restaurant selections available for customers to heat up at home, with an additional frozen line to come.

Keeping with traditional British food, V Bites online offers Breaded Fish Style Fingers.

There’s also vegan versions of  hotdogs, quarter pounder burgers, as well as vegan Greek and smoked style cheese.

Ingredients for all products are simple, mainly consisting of soya or texturized vegetable protein and sometimes tofu in the case of the cheeses. A few spices here and there complete the meals that are high in protein, free from GMOs, and completely animal product and by-product free.

To view all V Bites foods currently offered online, visit the V Bites online store.

Heather Mills Launches V-Bites Restaurant

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed recently applauded Heather Mills for bringing vegetarianism to the media eye and opening her new vegan restaurant and cafe V Bites, saying more celebrities should do the same.

“More world celebrities should come forward to promote vegetarianism and persuade their fans to go vegetarian, thus contributing to a healthier world,” Zed said, in a statement to USA Today Nevada. Zed is the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism.

Zed pointed out that Hinduism promotes strict vegetarianism, and insists on ahimsa (not harming living creatures) and renouncing animal slaughter and meat eating. It also suggests taking of sattvik (vegetables, fruits) and avoiding rajasik (eggs) and tamasik (meat, intoxicants) foods.

Heather Mills Opens V Bites!

Written by Vegetarian Star on Sunday, July 5th, 2009 in Business, Chefs, Food & Drink, Restaurants.

Heather Mills Launches V-Bites Restaurant

The much anticipated opening of the V Bites restaurant Heather Mills has been talking about finally opened its doors in Hove Lagoon in the UK for chowing down on vegan goodness this weekend.

According to a press release Heather’s restaurant will serve such entrees as “Bangers and Mash to Chicken Style Nut Korma, mini pitta pockets with Beefy Wok Strips to amazing salads and yummy fruit smoothies, a Traditional English breakfast, Pad Thai served with rice noodles, Sag Paneer with vegan feta cheese, full Sunday roast with all the trimmings and a wide range of delicious sandwiches including a ‘ham’, cheese and tomato toastie and a classic BLT.”

A DJ and band were there to provide music for the lunch at the all day opening party. Heather took a moment to climb on the roof of V Bites and stand next to a big neon-like sign that resembles one at a Las Vegas joint.

Although gambling or stripping isn’t on the agenda for V Bites, a room that involves interactive computers to teach children about the importance of vegetable and an ice rink currently is.
