Kate Beckinsale Allegedly Leaves Puppy In Car

Tribeca Film Institute Benefit Screening Of "Everybody's Fine" - Arrivals

Wow.

Talk about heartless.

Actress Kate Beckinale has been accused of allegedly leaving her puppy dog in the car for hours while she spent her time inside the Byron Tracy Salon.

It was reported that she also left the windows up, left no water for the dog and kept him on a leash.

Hopefully, these stories aren’t true.

There a few harsher punishments you can give Fido than leaving him in a car all day in the heat, or even for a few hours.

Doggies can’t cool themselves off as easily as humans and it’s a disaster waiting happen.

Simon Cowell, who’s been caught making puppy love on more than one occasion, recorded a PSA reminding dog owners to take pups out of the car and into the cool shelter.

Think Kate needs to watch the video a few times?

Tom Cruise “Knight And Day” Set–7 Escaped Bulls Injure Women

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, November 30th, 2009 in Actors, Animal Issues, Film & TV.

24th Annual IMAGEN Awards

Tom Cruise‘s latest movie Knight and Day came to a halt recently when half ton animals escaped from the set.

The seven bulls were present to recreate a scene for Pamplona’s running of the bulls.

The animals were on the loose for half and hour and injured two women during their joyride through Spain.

PETA took the opportunity to write to Cruise, urging him to influence producers of the show to reconsider using the animals and cutting the scene altogether.

“The Running of the Bulls is an inherently cruel event that causes severe stress and often injury to the animals involved. The bulls’ hooves slip on the pavement as they race frantically, trying to escape the chaos. Sometimes, in their confusion, they bash into doors or the sides of buildings, breaking horns or legs. Human runners and spectators gouge them with sticks or pull their tails. People, too, are injured, gored, or trampled by bulls who are desperate to escape. What awaits the animals that evening in the bullring is even more gut-wrenching. Bulls are repeatedly stabbed and bled to weaken them, and bullfighters sever the animals’ spines while they are fully conscious.”

With the technology we have in the 21st century, who needs live animal for a production anyway?

PETA Asia’s ad featuring Amber Chia has the supermodel answering the call of the wild!

“Tigers, elephants, and chimpanzees aren’t meant to live fenced in any more than I am,” says Chia as she holds a sign that reads, “Keep Wild Animals Free. Boycott zoos.”

Wearing nothing buy a striped body suit, it’s a good bet men would prefer to visit zoos with ladies dressed like Chia than to see animals in the same enclosures.

The ad will run in Japan, Thailand, Germany, the U.S., and Korea later this year.

Kinky's Celebrity Pet Files

Kinky's Celebrity Pet Files

Kinky Friedman has just released a book, Kinky’s Celebrity Pet Files, that gives the lowdown on all the four legged celebrities and their human counterparts.

Kinky writes about historical individuals like Mark Twain, Winston Churchill and Ernest Hemingway as well as celebs of today such as Brian Wilson and Willie Nelson.

One of the more humorous parts of the book include the captions under the pets indicating what the animal is thinking.

One such photograph is of Phyllis Diller dressed in a fur coat holding her cat with the caption above the cat reading, “How many cats did it take to make that jacket?”

What better way to illustrate moral schizophrenia than to have kitty tell it like it is.

Kinky Friedman is an animal advocate and founded Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch in Texas (cute photo alert on Utopia’s home page).
